  • It was my 1st ever attempt at Bikepacking, and I was not prepared for how physically demanding it would be.

The only failure is not learning anything from it! You did great, you got out on the bike and Rode! That's a Win!

I don't see a fail here, I see a person who is learning. I've been riding the G.1 for this summer and I've been really happy with it. You might want to switch the rear gearing up with a mega range freewheel. It'll give you more low end that will help when the bike is loaded up. I've been building up my miles and ability to haul loads over the summer by doing a bunch of rides on weekends with panniers on the bike. Mostly I ride somewhere beautiful, put my camp chair out, make a cup of coffee and stare at the ocean. It's been a great bike for this. Now when I ride without the bike loaded it feels like it weighs nothing! Keep up the great work!

I did buy new ultra light gear for my back packing trips that I will be using for future bike packing trips.

Love it! Don’t beat yourself up you did awesome. You’ve got a pretty good load out man. I do shake down rides with my bike fully loaded to help with conditioning. Dropping that canister in there is savage AF man, lol. Take care and see you in the next one

You did awesome! It's not a fail if you learned something! Now you know to Conditioner with your bike loaded. I would say that's a win! Now you can keep working at it and kill it next time!

I am not sure, but it was an idea. I guess would a traylor make it easier or harder?

To save weight...try leaving the Notre Dame hat at home.

Shave some weight from the gear …example: if you have a multi tool leave the three way allen at home…
