Yes. An integral magazine fed by a 5 round en bloc clip. The rifle could chamber a round so reloading gives a full clip in the mag, for a count of 6.

Pre nerf VAL was way more op broken imo, gun types have just lose their identity in this game like ar's laser beaming you at 150+ meter's when that's dmr's territory, same with lmg's...
aaaand this is why bf3 and bf4's spread mechanics were a necessary way to balance weapons in a game like Battlefield because as soon as you take that away everything becomes effective at distances they have no business being effective at and reasonable balancing becomes impossible.
This. I've been playing BF since BF2 and I've never had a game where you get beamed and one frame glitch killed by any gun on 100+ meters. It's absolutely insane how this crap can still happen easily in BF2042.

The best part of this weapon is the way they put it halfway through the battle pass whilst nerfing progression to get those people to pay for 45+ tier skips and then having the audacity to lie about it. I’m not even mad, I’m impressed.

@@liambrown4214 well that's because most of the playerbase hasn't unlocked the G428 yet. Once they do you'll see the problem. And yes the shotgun is busted too but 200ms ttk that accurately is a joke. And the one shot potential will make it even broken because not everyone will be max health all the time:/

Everybody is sleeping on the dm7, I’m genuinely shocked people ignore how strong it is. Seriously I have a couple thousand kills on that thing at least
So the unfortunate part with videos like this is that after enough people post them on every social media platform, the developers get involved but not in a good way. They usually end up releasing a nerf for multiple things at once, some weapons that didn’t even need to be nerfed and then they just run them into the ground for whatever reason. I agree with some of your points but at the same time, a DMR is supposed to be more powerful than an assault rifle (maybe not by a lot) because it is essentially a combination of assault rifle and long range bolt action rifles. Increasing the spread would be a viable option for the auto fire but only if you have it held down, the damage could possibly change a little but like I said, Dice will most likely ruin the weapon and make it to where I would be better off just using an assault rifle on single fire for longer range.
I have a theory on new op weapons- they make them op so ppl that don't have them get frustrated so they spend the money to get them.

I think its crazy how you can be so accurate when your moving around like that. recoil is one thing but stance and mobility should be the biggest factor on accuracy.

Part of the reason is that there's just no flinch in this game either. What can make an RPM nerf effective is that a player with a two shot rifle that has a lot rate of fire may hit the first shot, then take a bullet before firing the second, which can cause enough flinch to throw aim off for the followup kill shot from the rifle.
I'm not saying there needs to be crazy amounts of flinch or anything, that can be annoying and headache inducing, but it's a mechanic that feels largely missing from 2042 that can really help to balance some of these guns without making them OP or useless without much in between.
It is INSANE how easy the G428 was to T1 than the DM7. Shit only took me like 3 days of playing for a few hours. Hit a 69 and 7 game with it on redacted too. Definitely need a nerf.

Appreciate the solutions provided! I think this is the best way to open discussions and get devs to change things! If we just complain then they usually just do nothing, (they usually do nothing anyway) but if they have solutions and probable answers people are aware of and discuss it could help get a better community help for devs

It can't break BF2042, because for anyone with a normal balanced life, the grind to get this takes so fking long it'll be nerfed looong before we unlock it...
this thing is basically a zero recoil EBR with 8 less bullets.

I disagree with the spread because it's super annoying when your bullets don't go where your aiming at. If the sight bounces around with the spread that's fine but that's not typically how it's done in BF titles. Especially when looking at BF4 and BF3. Besides that I agree. They should really bring back the gunplay of BF4 in my opinion. That game was amazing but after playing over 500hrs of BF2042 it's hard to go back because they play so different in terms of gun play. Both of the new weapons introduced with Season 6 are broken AF. Great video man! 💚

DMRs shouldn't be out TTKing SMGs at close range. If the DMRs had a sweetspot mechanic to where they deal less damage at close range and more damage at longer range then I wouldn't see the problem. So basically if the G428 would 3 HK to medium distance then go to 2 HK then back to 3 HK at longer distances. I would be open to see a mechanic like this
again PC players don't seem to have this bullet dispersion that console have. jackfrags did a video as well. i've used this dmr and the amount of bullets that go around the target even when my red dot is on them or even dont register the damn bullets. And it does have recoil on console.
nope we do because i experience this all the time as well and i am on pc i still manage to wreck with it though but watching most of enders clips i get sus on how his cursor is always sticking to his targets and has barely any of this bullet spread, let alone the pin pointed flick accuracy.
@@cyborgofdeath oh yer watch jack frags video on this DMR. i see so many times bullets hit perfect each time. but mine i can empty like 10 rounds from this DMR just to get the 3 eq'd for beyond 50 metres. so i do get a little suspect on some videos. like the bit where he goes to A1 on kalidascope. barely misses a bullet.

BF1 SLR are crazy good. Got banned recently from TSC server for using the Selbtstlader 1916.

Your DMR is 2 shot, but my Pump Mossberg thinks 1 shot will do the trick especially going against them on the Redacted map. Toss a shield, smoke and flush your squad like a toilet 😅🤣

I used this gun for a couple rounds but I went back to the VHX.
First reliable DMR since BF3, and first time since BF3 that a DMR can do anything vs moving targets tbh. All the other laser weapons are already stupidly reliable for close and long range. Miss one shot and it's GG, that makes the TTK shoot up so much. Sure it's really powerful in the right hands but most people will struggle with it still. Recoil, spread and bullet speed completely ruin the other DMRs for using them on ranged targets, unless people aren't moving ever. SVK comes close imo but the lack of bullets in a mag, and total bullets just make it 100% useless. Think it's the fact the other DMRs are useless that makes this actually look good.
But sadly Dice doesn't seem to have a single dev that fights for DMR rights since BF3, they usually come out strong get nerfed and are forgotten sadly.
I said this to one of your videos previously, but the pressures are not ruined necessarily you can use it with subsonic rounds

All the DMR should have three shots to kill anyone. For two shots, it’s rpm must be reduced.
Really not sure what DICE's deal is with adding guns that will kill you in two shots at wild ranges faster than you can even register the first hit.
DICE desperately needs people to "hit clips" so that streamers can feel powerful and kiddies can get 5 kill streak and think they are good. Its too hard for them to balance the game so they just add in an OP weapon because it makes the players who abuse it feel good and thus according to some pencilpushing hebrew in an ESG office this gets players to spend money.
This is an indisputable fact but too many soybabies refuse to accept this is the result of DICE losing all their talent after BF4

Imho the nerfing should start from the removal of full auto. That alone would be more than most can chew.
On retarded i run it with wrapped for added stealth and the 2.5x thermal is almost criminal.

if you have this gun how did you get it? i haven't been playing this season consistently but ive put a bit of hours into and reached level 29 of the battlepass, i now require 14k xp to get 1 battlepass point.
this gun is not overpowered because the svk was already overpowered anyway at launch

@@TheCorrupt the average person can click a mouse 5-7 times per second consistently for 10-60 seconds. The lowest click (5 times per second) works out to be every 0.200. That means the person with the lowest average click speed (not a gamer) can fire semi auto at the g428 fire rate.
Like enders said, its the ease of use, the only thing that makes this any better than the current DMRs is that people who dont practice to get consistent with a DMR like the m39 can pick this up.
I think all the marksmans, if mastered, should be better versions of any ARs, especially for longer ranges. They would be the best weapons for any situation. But at the cost of them being some of the most difficult guns to use. Usually, it is not always because of slower ADS time and higher recoil.

At this point I think that devs purposely do sht like this. 😂
Keep the spread how it is, remove 2 shot kill from standard issue, reduce fire rate of high power rounds to 220, reduce 2 hit kill range on high power to 35m. Dmrs should shoot where you’re aiming all the time.
I'm around mastery level 16 and it's just too good. It doesn't need the full auto because the rate of fire is same ish. It's just easy way to get perfect fastest fire rate when you don't have to panic click. I'm going to T1 it before or hits the nerf.
i only run it full auto when i'm in a close quarter area. otherwise there's no reason. i'm up to 700ish kills with it. also trying to grind before nerf.

The only f up present was letting people get the weapon early by paying. By the time everyone else grinds for and earns it, it'll have been nerfed probably not worth using anymore while sweat lords have t1 with it already. Brilliant. Svk 2 shots as well. Instead of nerfing this, just add full auto to all dmrs. Its 2042 not 2014.

I didnt have problems beating the gun with AR and LMG but with SMG its near impossible. I hear what your saying enders but balancing DMR is very difficult in this game and previous BF game they are either viable and OP or just dog shit 💩, and i still feel the cross platform plays a role in designing gun play, DMR and snipers play different controller and pc balance

@@brucetran9611 It doesn't validate non-stop by itself but it'll keep finding 3 missing files if I try to validate manually. I can open the game but it force closes after I get through the "connecting to online services" part. I see a black screen with a loading icon then the game just closes with no errors.
@@Jasz_ I've went through that and a dozen other things, nothing has worked. The devs have acknowledged this issue but there is no general fix unfortunately.

it seems like a purchase bait from DICE, luring people to buy the battlepass boost(if you bought the boost, you would have got this gun by now without much effort). a nerf might come within 2~3 weeks, i guess.
i was sitting on 3k Boins so i just bought the skip to unlock it once i got close. i rarely buy skins for anything so that currency is pretty much useless except for tier skipping
