Hey everyone it’s Reisshub, and Welcome back to another fortnite battle royale vid! I'll be covering my analysis of the drop map and predictions for the FNCS Finals in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. Hope you enjoy!

I've been playing competitive video games since Halo 2, and this whole thing frustrates me SO much because it's so simple. Epic could so easily have made an amazing competitive game with no detriment to the casual side of the game. In every game I've played competitive (basically only Halo 2 through Infinite) it always seems to be a discussion of 'balance' between casual and competitive, when that does not need to be the case. I understand they want people to try comp and it needs to be fairly similar to the main game so it still holds the same appeal. I don't see why Epic couldn't have made arena a much more rewarding experience, even if loot pools aren't being specifically catered towards competitive
I just don’t get it man they could have two entirely different games like they did with the smg in creative it’s so simple just locked behind the They don’t gain from it legit they have two compact smgs in creative ones balanced and one isn’t they could do it.

this game was meant to be a casual game at the start. fortnite is still the best competitive br game there is.

Epic Games accidantally created a game that is far to hard to master for the long run. Fortnite is way to complex for gamers who swap between games. It's getting harder and harder to close the gap between exprienced players and new ones even with op weapons and stuff like that.

It’s one of them now whether I play pubs or arena I’m on a series s but I’ll come against a pc kid who probably sucks and has never placed, but will ruin my game 9/10 times purely because he can piece control like everyone else on this game but has a slight mechanical advantage. Solos, my once best and favourite game mode is unplayable. Forced into duos now, and even then my friends don’t play it all that much anymore.
I don’t think they expected players to get to this level at all. Even in a competitive scene they probably expected players to build so so much less

I agree. Fortnite has 3 core versions of the game (Comp, Zero Build, and normal Pubs), meant for three different types of people, so they should just focus on each mode’s core audience. There should be more wacky, fun items and a more diverse set of guns in Pubs, more sort of “assist” items in Zero Build (bushes, shield bubbles, etc.), and Comp should just be purely competitive.
On top of all of that, they should bring back regular LTM rotations, and let them be more crazy like they used to be. For example, current Solid Gold is made entirely of currently unvaulted guns, with the exception of two guns from last season. You play the mode essentially the same way you’d play a public Squads match, which is boring. LTM’s should really change the way people play and bring some more variety to the game.

i hit contenders but i want to at least have a chance at winning instead of having to sweat my entire upper body off just to die in top 10
Simple answer the devs should listen to both lol put what the comp players want in arena and tournaments and put what the casual players want in normal br

I just think make the loot pool like c2 s4 and nerf smgs, add crazy fun mythics like the grappler and that (not catty that was broken) this would make the broadcasts way more fun too

i am a comp player literally since 2018 (never made it to the top, but i‘ve always been in the top 5k in terms of pr) - i wouldnt care if epic only focusses on the casual audience, however telling us that they will try to improve the comp side of the game and then do complete bullshit all the time is just frustating. There are so many easy changes (some of them we already had ingame at some point) to improve quality of life of a comp player but they just dont care (even though they pretend to do)
One more part for more players to play the game is that it needs to be available in some regions where more people play which isn't currently available and they need to fix the ping issue like in some regions where it's available but not playable if u play it's like almost biasing.
You forgot about the people who don't win under any circumstances regardless of the meta and are only there for the challenges
i would play a lot of arena before nobuilding got released, then i got bored and switched to nobuilding permanently
for comp 1 of the only things they would need to change is to add back late game arena as a permanent game mode they could like a chapter 3 version or have the original one

This video is so off base! The comp scene needs to be kept as similar as possible to casual.
Comp will die if the causals don’t care about it.
People want to watch the best players, playing a game mode similar to them. It’s why pub stomper streamers are more popular than comp pros
The viewership is already so low. I can’t imagine Fortnite is gonna want to cater to just a few thousand players
Lot of truth here. Let's be honest. The vast majority of so-called competitive players have 0 earnings and would rather flex in pubs than grind Arena.
Also, most players only have a passing interest in testing their skills in comp modes. So that mode probably needs to be somewhat similar to pubs.
They should listen to both the loot pool for competitive should just be in arena while for casual players there’s more fun items
Im the casual player but everytime i play comp i rage and its kinda hard coz i play on 120 or 175 ping

Honestly the best way is to leave the guns as they are in pubs. Don’t change the smgs or shotguns at all. And in arena and tournaments nerf them. Make the striker pump a weapon that can one shot a 200 player but only as gold and headshot. Nerf the stinger and buff the ranger ar otherwise we ARE going to have this wacky meta. And even if you go triple heals and a striker pump and a burst you should still be able to win if a close range fight if you are good enough.

we need actual snipers in casual mode. you know, those that actually dealt damage.
I'm a grown ass man and try and play as much comp as I can, but Fortnite tend to announce most comps (especially the skin comps) literally the day before, they should build hype for them and allow people to plan, for anyone that has a job this can be massively frustrating as it can take a day or two to organise a squad, and I often miss out, ended up having to play the Mahones cup on NAE as an EU player as I couldn't get a squad in time for EU...
Still got a dub as a solo after the NAE homies died, also the pros will often play the comps over and over on every server, even though they've been gifted the skins already?! Double edged sword because I do like seeing them getting high kill games, but massively frustrating as a casual when I miss out on winning a skin by a couple of points knowing there's hundreds of pros in the comp...
Even the timings are annoying, starting at 5 when most jobs finish at that time?! I've had to go straight in to comps with zero warm up, and unsurprisingly I suck, regular Friday/Saturday comps starting at 8 or 9 would be great.
Changing the format is really annoying as well, the most recent ones that only gave you placement points if you got a vic roy?! had 2 second places and 2 thirds and got nothing out of it, whereas in a skin comp that would have been high in the leaderboard...
Mostly Fortnite need to just listen to the community, things like the skin comps are tired like 8 points gets a spray, top 650 get a skin?! They could easily do top 5000 get a back bling, top 4000 get back bling and pick axe, top 3000 get back bling, pick axe and glider top 2000 get full set, this would boost revenue in the store anyway because then the bundles would appear "Reduced" as lots of people would already have an item or two... On EU you have to be bordering on pro to win a skin, which is ridiculous!
One thing I find odd is how pros use the most bland skins possible. Sure, smaller characters take up less of the screen and less reactive animations improve frames, but what's the advantage with single color superhero skins? Genuinely curious 'cause I don't get it
harder to spot in certain places or when theres fog or it’s dark? has something to do w your character not standing out as much in the open

Heres one thing all the casual players like me who aren’t annoying 7 year olds all have been playing since very early og days of Fortnite but we are casual because the game keeps getting worse but we still want to play exept the competitive community has stolen all the fun out of the game

I disagree. Everything being at a competitively-balanced level kind of makes crazy items like mythics boring. It’s better to just let them be crazy in pubs and let the competitive side enjoy the pure combat
in my opinion one of the reasons most people actualy did start playing fortnite is because how hard it was to get a win back then and like u alwyas wanted one now a days a new player has no struggle and its so easy thus making the game boring for them
To be fair most of the competitive stuff i watch thru Aussie his stream
were 2/3 of the way through 2022 and we're still talking about split loot pools lol
Only thing I'd like to add is that from a player that's kind of in the middle, and from all of my very casual friends. Nobody actually likes the spray meta even in pubs. Please get rid of this epic!!!
People who complain about "spray" kill me. It's a game with automatic weapons. Meaning there will always be "spray" in the game.
What would you suggest? Nerfing the SMGs and rifles? That would make building literally OP. In a way, spray is necessary to maintain balance with building.

Comp is terrible, this season I literally and I mean literally can not have a fight in solo arena without a third party I’ll end up fighting 1 person to having 4 people in 1 fight, I used to love the game playing every season to the max and now it’s absolutely horrible, no rotation except a grapple glove and a few other things hopefully next season the game becomes good again.
You forgot the duos arena tweet for competitive not as much as the dragon ball tweet but it's at least a bit closer

As a competitive casual controller player, I don’t like the smg’s from chapter 3 - especially because of the aim assist changes. Old weapons were 100% better

I would classify myself as a casual competitive player...like I mainly only play arena, get champs and play in tournaments when I can( i find a teammate last minute most times). My main complaint is the shooting in the game...I play kbm/PC...and in my opinion, aim assist/soft aim cheaters are ruining the experience for me. Aim assist up close is too strong(it pulls onto you too hard). Ontop of that people are taking the already strong aim assist and enhancing it with zens/other soft aim programs. I also heard KBM players are finding ways to get aim assist via remapping? I sometimes put my replays on and ill go back and watch when I die to a suspect person and their bullets come out their gun sideways/odd snapping onto me, lots of weird stuff. Now in defense of controller players like a "bad" controller player needs that stronger aim assist but the good players are abusing how strong it is, and of course the cheaters are really abusing it....my solution would be to rework aim assist totally so its not as strong up close. Second I would put controller movement for kbm built into the game and disallow 3rd party programs to run in the background because i believe this is the remapping thing that epic cant detect when someone is cheating. I also think they need to re-vamp and upgrade their anti cheat to specifically target the shooting cheaters and macro users. Besides the shooting I think the loot pool could be better for arena and of course server stability has always been an issue. I could go on but I wanted to express my main complaint with fortnite currently
I’ll have to respectfully disagree on the aim assist thing, aim assist is in a good place right now. It’s not really the fact it’s too strong up close, it’s the fact Smgs are too strong. We need a strong shotgun, more balanced ars, plus more movement like lanchpads or cows
@@onewaytfamily4840 Aim assist being soo strong is a big reason epic cant tell who is soft aim cheating because its really close to aimbot...if they rework it totally and dont make it lock on soo strongly up close then normal aim assist and soft aim cheaters would be easier to tell the difference...I do agree the SMGS are too strong but...you cant agree that aim assist is too strong up close which is needed for bad controller players but good players are abusing how strong it is? I am either dieing to alot of zen cheaters or basic aim assist is too strong.
Not an issue about this but replay vods are horribly inaccurate when showing bullets and how things hit you. Many times bullets can come "out of" heads or even the player not looking at you and its been like this since forever :)

I've always said why can't we have both? Sweats have Arena, Zone Wars, Box Wars, tournaments, etc. Epic needs to leave pubs for casuals though. That's the problem.
All these balance complaints seep over into the casual domain, which is pubs.

That's 100% cap. Comp players barely like any cosmetics at all. Just sweaty items, which make up 1% of all cosmetics.
Comp players usually buy Aura, an 800 vbuck skin, and don't even use a backbling. Then buy Star Wand and call it a day. They often don't even buy battle passes.

Yes, casuals can come and go, but some casuals stick for many years as well. Also, the casuals who leave are replaced by more casuals.
The pros play this game as a job so they on average spend more time playing which will mean that they are statistically more likely to spend more than a casual player
@@leakie6146 playing more doesn't mean you buy more. Look at any FNCS stream. I legitimately see like 30 or less skins that all sweaty or competitive players use, then the same 3 or 4 pickaxes. Plus most stuff they use is cheap, 800 or 1200, or in the battle pass. Casuals tend to buy skins because they like how they look, but people who are more competitive probably won't buy a skin if they think it's too bulky or makes them easier to see. Saying competitive players buy more cosmetics just because they play more is complete idiocy when 9/10 times they just wear the same 3 sweaty 800 or 1200 female skins

I can guarrentee you that pro's on average spend more money on skins than casuals since the pros get paid to play the game

@@TheAlphaTeamPlays except its based on how much you build not how well you play. If you overbuild even if it's just placing a floor wall ramp to get some height without being knocked down then you get sweaty lobbies. SBMM shouldn't be in the game because it clearly doesn't work. EVERYBODY complains because EVERYBODY is fighting people way above their skill levels. I can build at an alright level but can barely edit a wall, and I get people who legitimately edit course me while also somehow building like an FNCS player.

@@IrisXen It's not only based on how much you build. I think K/D, average placement, accuracy, etc., all play a role in it. I have actually been matched with a literal FNCS player before (He placed 20th in the finals), but *generally* speaking it's fine for me.

I’d say focus on the public most, the people that have jobs and kids and hobbies! Those are the people that are actually gonna have fun and make money, not competitive 14 year olds that play 5 hours a day
