I was in a collision where a driver ran a red light at about 45 ~ 50 MPH. The front end of my vehicle was obliterated. I took an ambulance and have already had a follow up appointment with the doctor in 48 hours of the accident. After the first night my back started to hurt. I contacted the doctors and asked if they saw anything they might of missed. One doctor said "Well you have a degenerative bulging disc, but I don't think it was from the accident". Heres the thing. The damaged disc is around my T12 spine and that's where my pain is. This pain was 0 before the accident. Air bags deployed, I was bleeding out my ear, and suffering from a concussion. I have an attorney ready, but for some reason I feel like the doctors don't want to admit my damage is from my collision. I don't understand what personal gain they have from not addressing my pain. One doctor did not however my pain in relation to the accident, but not the bulging disc which no doctor has ever detected before. Nor had I any pain prior to the accident.
@@marleanamarlianamont5939 unfortunately I haven’t had a follow up appointment for my spine, but it’s gotten more stuff over time so I’m actually going back soon to see what’s wrong. With that said I did get a decent settlement that took care of my medical bills and refunded a full year’s worth of college tuition (which is rare). I hope that other driver learned their lesson, I almost lost my life.
I was also in a collision where the driver ran the red light at approximately the same speed. I was moving 5 mph. Front of my car, just past the core support is gone, but, core support back is pretty decent minus the fenders. Within an hour I had an attorney because the at fault driver’s insurance company treated me like absolute dog water, canceling my policy halfway through the month, collecting my money and forcing me to be re-quoted at $80+ more a month, for the same crap. My insurance was close to $1k a month, no accidents, 2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL. If they hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have gotten an attorney at all. I’m concussed and still trying to get diagnosis on other things. Personally I’m still not 100% sure what is wrong with me, neck and back hurt, (3-5, on pain) the army keeps a lot of documentation on preexisting conditions, but they also want me to go to work, concussed. I think this is going to be slow, but worth it, if they don’t fck me over for their own paycheck at the end of the day.
I came across your video. I was a passenger in a motorcycle accident. The rear tire blew out. I was transported in an ambulance, and they did CAT Scan. I have minor cuts in my right foot, bruises, not able to work in the past two days. Now i have neck pain, headache, back pain, not able to work, i had to hired someone who can cook and do chores for me due to my pain..im sleepless, also im paying someone to walk my dogs, i cant go to my gym...the adjuster call me today, said that he'll check back with me in a week. I had to go back to my primary doctor due to my pain, sleeplessand anxiety, since i can still hear the sound of the tire.... So i don't know if i need to hire a lawyer since i dont have any broken bones. But im paying someone who clean and cook for me...and dog walker. And soon ill start paying for my physical therapy.
I was knocked off my bike in 2015, the driver admitted fault to the police at the scene of the accident, a few weeks later while convalescing at home, a telephone conversation with the insurance company confirmed their insured driver had been in touch and confirmed again the accident was their fault, however the insurance company said they would only deal with my claim through a solicitor and not deal with me directly, even though a police report, hospital reports (several broken bones and lacerations) and driver admitted responsibility, were available, i asked the insurance company representative on the phone call, how long would this take to settle, he replied "years and years" meaning several years, it turned out to be a "master class" in deliberating delaying which in itself has had serious negative impact on my health, the insurance company produced its first medical report after four and half years, there are very many other examples of deliberate delaying, even writing this short very brief summary brings everything back to me

Great information, thank you for sharing. RE: accident injury; After the dust settles and a settlement amount has been reached, I totally disagree with signing a W-9 for the payment. Simply put, damages are not a taxable event. The victim was injured and deserves to be compensated to the fullest extent. I disagree with insurance Companies using the victim as a tool to escape liability for their greedy/bad behavior. Debt Collectors and Insurance companies are very greedy and manipulative. This is the very reason I do not agree or sign W-9's, according to the 1974 Privacy Act, giving of the social security number is a "voluntary act" to such non-governmental entities.

I'm trying to figure out if my wife is entitled to any kind of settlement from her accident. She was not at fault and has no permanent injuries but did miscarry her pregnancy. I was in a wreck at work Thursday. My boss (the owner of the company) was driving, he had a diabetic seizure and ran off the road rolling the vehicle 7 times. I was involved in an accident in Texas, the vehicle hit me from behind at a stop sign. The insurance paid for my vehicle. My injuries wasn't very bad however I did have issues afterwards. I went through and finished therapy. I do not work. The adjuster offered me 500 before I was finished with therapy. I declined I said we can wait until after in finished. Ok…. I respect what you’re saying but, you’re not talking about the cons of hiring an attorney. Here is my story. I was hit by a driver who had basic limits. My car was totaled and I negotiated the payout with the adjuster. The value of the car was around 7,000. I told the adjuster wanted between 14,000 and 16000. I got $15,000. I was able to buy a new car of the same model. I had no attorney intervention. I remember I asked for a $200 loan and they wouldn’t give it to me but, later found out they used the fact that I needed money and came with a settlement amount that gave me 4500 and the attorney got $9000 because the attorney had me believe my insurance policy would give me $15,000 and I said ok, but later found out it was only to pay medical bills not to me. This was told to me by that law office I used and said the attorney who was on my case lied. The same thing happened with another law office who represented my mother that lost everything due to a storm in Louisiana. The lawyer lied to us in order to retain us and has later quit the firm and my mother is now having trouble with call backs, email responses and text.
Yes. It's still considered as medical bills. I'm currently in chiropractor from a Semi-truck accident that hit me and messed up my spine. My lawyer scheduled me an MRI and I have a bulging disc I'm dealing with. Injury Lawyer basically go by medical bills, if you don't have any medical bills they'll refuse your case. But keep in mind, the other person has to be "at fault". Make sure the police confirms it as well at the time of the accident.

What if you break your hand and your surgery/medical bills come out to be greater than the at fault party's limits that they have with their insurance provider, and you don't have UM via your own insurance?

@@RealJustinZieglerbe glad you don't offer services in Alabama, Alabama is 1 of 4 states that still use Contributory Negligence, and I'm sure you've heard of this law before (I think it predates back to the 1860s or earlier). I wish these remaining states and Washington DC would get rid of Contributory Negligence and use Comparative Negligence, we'd have much easier times settling with the right attorney getting us more than enough for medical bills, attorney fees, etc. I had a car accident in July 2021, and unfortunately, I live in North Carolina, another Contributory Negligence state, and I have a deposition January 26th 2024. My attorney will be calling me on January 24th to walk me through on how to answer the questions I will be asked. I sure hope I don't screw up or make one slightly of slightest of slight mistakes, because all the other side has to do is get me to slip even once, and bam they can say take it to trial, we can convince a Judge and/or Jury you're at least 1% at fault, therefore you'll get nothing, and believe me when I say this, I did EVERYTHING I could to AVOID the accident, and it still happened! I wonder if the Judge and/or Jury can get ticked off and point at the Plaintiff and say "you didn't unlock your inner psychic abilities, therefore you was negligent, you get nothing!" If that's the case, I don't see how any Plaintiff tries with any attorney to sue the other side. 🤷🤦 I think after my parents retire and go travel the country in late 2028, I'll take all the money I saved from this job, and I'll just move to a state that doesn't have Contributory Negligence, because damn my medical bills are $650,000, and I'm basically banking on a win when this goes to trial. Sure if I get nothing out of it, I could ask the hospital for financial assistance or such, or look for "charity care", but with this being $650,000 in medical bills, there's only so much help I can get if I can't get anything from the other side, and I really don't want to have to file for bankruptcy, because it still costs money, and stays on my record for 10 years! Hey at least if I can get out of medical debt completely I can move to a Comparative Negligence state and then if I ever get into another bad car accident I can do my research for the right attorney in the state I had the accident in, and have a much higher chance of getting a great settlement!

I was in a collision where a driver ran a red light at about 45 ~ 50 MPH. The front end of my vehicle was obliterated. I took an ambulance and have already had a follow up appointment with the doctor in 48 hours of the accident. After the first night my back started to hurt. I contacted the doctors and asked if they saw anything they might of missed. One doctor said "Well you have a degenerative bulging disc, but I don't think it was from the accident". Heres the thing. The damaged disc is around my T12 spine and that's where my pain is. This pain was 0 before the accident. Air bags deployed, I was bleeding out my ear, and suffering from a concussion. I have an attorney ready, but for some reason I feel like the doctors don't want to admit my damage is from my collision. I don't understand what personal gain they have from not addressing my pain. One doctor did not however my pain in relation to the accident, but not the bulging disc which no doctor has ever detected before. Nor had I any pain prior to the accident.

@@marleanamarlianamont5939 unfortunately I haven’t had a follow up appointment for my spine, but it’s gotten more stuff over time so I’m actually going back soon to see what’s wrong. With that said I did get a decent settlement that took care of my medical bills and refunded a full year’s worth of college tuition (which is rare). I hope that other driver learned their lesson, I almost lost my life.
I was also in a collision where the driver ran the red light at approximately the same speed. I was moving 5 mph. Front of my car, just past the core support is gone, but, core support back is pretty decent minus the fenders. Within an hour I had an attorney because the at fault driver’s insurance company treated me like absolute dog water, canceling my policy halfway through the month, collecting my money and forcing me to be re-quoted at $80+ more a month, for the same crap. My insurance was close to $1k a month, no accidents, 2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL. If they hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have gotten an attorney at all. I’m concussed and still trying to get diagnosis on other things. Personally I’m still not 100% sure what is wrong with me, neck and back hurt, (3-5, on pain) the army keeps a lot of documentation on preexisting conditions, but they also want me to go to work, concussed. I think this is going to be slow, but worth it, if they don’t fck me over for their own paycheck at the end of the day.
But even if you get a big settlement it doesn't mean you get to keep it. The hospital will sometimes freeze your bank account to assure the get paid.

I came across your video. I was a passenger in a motorcycle accident. The rear tire blew out. I was transported in an ambulance, and they did CAT Scan. I have minor cuts in my right foot, bruises, not able to work in the past two days. Now i have neck pain, headache, back pain, not able to work, i had to hired someone who can cook and do chores for me due to my pain..im sleepless, also im paying someone to walk my dogs, i cant go to my gym...the adjuster call me today, said that he'll check back with me in a week. I had to go back to my primary doctor due to my pain, sleeplessand anxiety, since i can still hear the sound of the tire.... So i don't know if i need to hire a lawyer since i dont have any broken bones. But im paying someone who clean and cook for me...and dog walker. And soon ill start paying for my physical therapy.
I was knocked off my bike in 2015, the driver admitted fault to the police at the scene of the accident, a few weeks later while convalescing at home, a telephone conversation with the insurance company confirmed their insured driver had been in touch and confirmed again the accident was their fault, however the insurance company said they would only deal with my claim through a solicitor and not deal with me directly, even though a police report, hospital reports (several broken bones and lacerations) and driver admitted responsibility, were available, i asked the insurance company representative on the phone call, how long would this take to settle, he replied "years and years" meaning several years, it turned out to be a "master class" in deliberating delaying which in itself has had serious negative impact on my health, the insurance company produced its first medical report after four and half years, there are very many other examples of deliberate delaying, even writing this short very brief summary brings everything back to me

Great information, thank you for sharing. RE: accident injury; After the dust settles and a settlement amount has been reached, I totally disagree with signing a W-9 for the payment. Simply put, damages are not a taxable event. The victim was injured and deserves to be compensated to the fullest extent. I disagree with insurance Companies using the victim as a tool to escape liability for their greedy/bad behavior. Debt Collectors and Insurance companies are very greedy and manipulative. This is the very reason I do not agree or sign W-9's, according to the 1974 Privacy Act, giving of the social security number is a "voluntary act" to such non-governmental entities.

I'm trying to figure out if my wife is entitled to any kind of settlement from her accident. She was not at fault and has no permanent injuries but did miscarry her pregnancy. Attorney does not want to take her case because the miscarriage wasn't fully confirmed until 14 days after the accident making it difficult to prove causation. So I will be doing the negotiation.

I'm currently in a sticky situation and would love your advice on. I was recently in a car accident last week where my car was totaled. The other driver was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic as she tried to make a turn and we collided. Her insurance has accepted blame. I was in a wreck at work Thursday. My boss (the owner of the company) was driving, he had a diabetic seizure and ran off the road rolling the vehicle 7 times. We both had to leave in a ambulance, I have 5 fractures in my back, broken clavicle, and not sure what else. Have been referred to several different specialist. How long did negotiations take from the first 100k offer to the final 445k offer?
I believe under a year. Maybe 8 to 12 months or so but that's off the top of my head.
I was involved in an accident in Texas, the vehicle hit me from behind at a stop sign. The insurance paid for my vehicle. My injuries wasn't very bad however I did have issues afterwards. I went through and finished therapy. I do not work. The adjuster offered me 500 before I was finished with therapy. I declined I said we can wait until after in finished. After 1 month of therapy, the adjuster offered me $1000. Question should I accept? I'm confused.

Ok…. I respect what you’re saying but, you’re not talking about the cons of hiring an attorney. Here is my story. I was hit by a driver who had basic limits. My car was totaled and I negotiated the payout with the adjuster. The value of the car was around 7,000. I told the adjuster wanted between 14,000 and 16000. I got $15,000. I was able to buy a new car of the same model. I had no attorney intervention. I remember I asked for a $200 loan and they wouldn’t give it to me but, later found out they used the fact that I needed money and came with a settlement amount that gave me 4500 and the attorney got $9000 because the attorney had me believe my insurance policy would give me $15,000 and I said ok, but later found out it was only to pay medical bills not to me. This was told to me by that law office I used and said the attorney who was on my case lied. The same thing happened with another law office who represented my mother that lost everything due to a storm in Louisiana. The lawyer lied to us in order to retain us and has later quit the firm and my mother is now having trouble with call backs, email responses and text.

Yes. It's still considered as medical bills. I'm currently in chiropractor from a Semi-truck accident that hit me and messed up my spine. My lawyer scheduled me an MRI and I have a bulging disc I'm dealing with. Injury Lawyer basically go by medical bills, if you don't have any medical bills they'll refuse your case.
But keep in mind, the other person has to be "at fault". Make sure the police confirms it as well at the time of the accident.

What if you break your hand and your surgery/medical bills come out to be greater than the at fault party's limits that they have with their insurance provider, and you don't have UM via your own insurance?

@@RealJustinZieglerbe glad you don't offer services in Alabama, Alabama is 1 of 4 states that still use Contributory Negligence, and I'm sure you've heard of this law before (I think it predates back to the 1860s or earlier). I wish these remaining states and Washington DC would get rid of Contributory Negligence and use Comparative Negligence, we'd have much easier times settling with the right attorney getting us more than enough for medical bills, attorney fees, etc. I had a car accident in July 2021, and unfortunately, I live in North Carolina, another Contributory Negligence state, and I have a deposition January 26th 2024. My attorney will be calling me on January 24th to walk me through on how to answer the questions I will be asked. I sure hope I don't screw up or make one slightly of slightest of slight mistakes, because all the other side has to do is get me to slip even once, and bam they can say take it to trial, we can convince a Judge and/or Jury you're at least 1% at fault, therefore you'll get nothing, and believe me when I say this, I did EVERYTHING I could to AVOID the accident, and it still happened! I wonder if the Judge and/or Jury can get ticked off and point at the Plaintiff and say "you didn't unlock your inner psychic abilities, therefore you was negligent, you get nothing!" If that's the case, I don't see how any Plaintiff tries with any attorney to sue the other side. 🤷🤦
I think after my parents retire and go travel the country in late 2028, I'll take all the money I saved from this job, and I'll just move to a state that doesn't have Contributory Negligence, because damn my medical bills are $650,000, and I'm basically banking on a win when this goes to trial. Sure if I get nothing out of it, I could ask the hospital for financial assistance or such, or look for "charity care", but with this being $650,000 in medical bills, there's only so much help I can get if I can't get anything from the other side, and I really don't want to have to file for bankruptcy, because it still costs money, and stays on my record for 10 years! Hey at least if I can get out of medical debt completely I can move to a Comparative Negligence state and then if I ever get into another bad car accident I can do my research for the right attorney in the state I had the accident in, and have a much higher chance of getting a great settlement!

While it’s true that many insurance companies can be cheap when it comes to paying personal injury claims, not all of them are the same.
Some companies, like Chubb, The Hartford, Hanover, Scottsdale, and Nationwide, are the best for paying claims and treating their policyholders.
I don’t believe it’s accurate to say that 99% of the time you have to litigate to get paid. Litigation is often a last resort, and many claims are settled without going to court, especially with strong legal representation.

It all depends on the amount of medical bills. Sometimes the medical bills that the injured person has to pay back aren't that much.
