Are you not supposed to have it done with a gun?
peach•hime • noo, the gun damages the tissue in the earlobe. It’s supposed to be done with a needle, like if you go to claire’s for example to get your cartilage pierced they’ll use a gun, which can damage your cartridge. And a piercing gun is plastic, plastic can’t be sterilized properly. it can give you stuff like Staph infections or hepatitis

I'm so glad you addressed the proper tools in the description! I've gotten MANY piercings and the gun sounds always give me major tingles (also major tissue damage but that's beside the point lol). Needles are the proper way, but this is a virtual roleplay, not real life. Love the background and the clicking to death! Can't get piercings for my job so this is fun to experience!

TLDR; you can, but you really shouldn’t (given the much higher risk of infection, illness/disease, pain, irritability, migration, and (permanent) damage done to the tissue.)
I’ve only ever had my lobes done with guns. 12 times total. That was years before I became more involved in body modification and learned the risks of piercing guns. You can use them, but I would highly recommend you go to a professional, certified, reputable, qualified piercer that uses sterile, hollow, single-use needles. It’s your body, do what you wish with it. Gun, safety pin, thumbtack whatever. As long as you’re fully aware of the risks each poses. There’s no space for the jewelry to go when you use a gun, even if the tip of the earring is “sharp enough.” It needs to be done with a hollow needle so there is space made for the earring to go; whereas with guns, it’s forcing something into the skin that has no where to fit.
There’s a lot of really great piercers on youtube and that run their own blogs that provide TONS of information on why sterile, single-use, hollow needles should always be used.
I have a Girl Scout Cookie addiction you can use the gun, but sometimes the gun can get stuck in the hole. It’s kinda risky where as the needle is just a little bit of a longer process but it’s actually less painful. Like when I pierced my own ears with needles I didn’t feel anything but I always feel something with the gun
I got my cartilage pierced with a gun and I have no problems so far! Although, I do recommend you get it pierced with a needle just to be safe. I think it just depends on your ear and its tolerance.
정국이즈마이허스밴드 | Like I said, there’s a higher risk, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be bad for everyone. Every person who gets pierced is obviously going to have a different experience than the next person, like everything is. I’ve had piercings reject and get infected when done with needles and guns; many things factor in when it comes to body modification. Getting cartilage pierced with a gun is much riskier given that the cartilage itself is likely to shatter and cause significant damage, if not just make it look unappealing. There is absolutely no chance of that happening when a professional piercer pierces cartilage with a needle.

i got my ears done with a gun it didn't hurt it just felt a bit numb but now its really sore like sometimes
don't get it done with a gun it can get infected and u might have a possibility of losing your ears
La'kesha Lae I have gotten them done with a gun 4 times my entire life, and it's never gotten infected, nor could you lose your ears. If this happens to you, you're not cleaning your ears enough. Use hydrogen peroxide if you don't have ear cleansing solution, you shouldn't have problems with the guns. They're the best way to get your ears pierced.

I got mine done with a gun and its only ever gotten infected once and only in one ear. I use both alcohol and peroxide to clean my earrings.

I got my ears pierced with a gun and I never got infected once... my friend got hers done a couple of weeks ago and has had several infections. I’ve seen people who do it with needles who have never seen infections in the ears ever. I’ve seen it where they have. My friend pierced her own- without telling anyone- with ANOTHER EARING and never ONCE got an infection! It’s a crazy world. Lol.
