Gtd has 800hp and has almost same time (3,4 sec faster ) then some e36 or e30 with almost more then 500hp difference, and those cars are driving on a loaded track(trackdays) so it not impressive, 6.30 would be impressive
Great point! While the Mustang GTD’s performance is definitely impressive, I get what you’re saying-context matters. A lap time on a clear track versus a loaded track does make a difference. That said, the GTD’s engineering is still a leap for Ford, blending race car aerodynamics with street-legal usability. Sure, a 6:30 would be next-level impressive, but for a Mustang to dip into hypercar territory at all is a win in itself. Let’s see if they can push it even further in future runs!
