I became a nurse at 20 and I'm 65 now. I never needed a husband to support me. I never wanted children and never wanted the drudgery of married life .I dated alot but never found anyone that I wanted to be with for a long time.when I was 40 I bought a class motothome and became a traveling nurse. You and I could be sisters, lol, cna, single mom and grandmom, twice married, dated everything that moved since I'm single again but never want to be in a couple again. I really want to move into a van when I will retire in 4 years. Also a minimalist and a vegan, I cannot wait to have my little mini home on wheels.

@@candicerubio8184 Well it has worked for me but I'm a true loner and never needed to have anyone to make me happy. I guess I was lucky to figure that out at an early age. Just figure out what makes you happy and do it!! Life is so very short, 30 years seems like yesterday!
I like having someone special to look forward to, each of us telling stories of the road, wth pillow talk, of the stories we have acquired since the last time we connected with each other. You could have a map with all the places we will share together the next time we connect. Watching, day by day, the lines of out excursions getting closer.

About not needing a man to save you…”I can save myself” 👏👏 And THAT’S why I love watching you, Emi! You’re so independent and strong - and not afraid to tell it like it is. Ain’t nobody’s business who you are or aren’t dating. Love getting to see van life thru your eyes. Keep doing you, pretty lady. Hi Kitty 👋😻
Hi Emi...glad to see you and Kelly kitty doing great. Misty Gayle and I are still alive and well. Misty's my calico kitty daughter. I'm a cat lover. We love you.
Hi Emi… I think it’s awesome that you have a date and a possible boyfriend. This senecio will be very educational to a lot of the women that are on your your site. I am a newbie and I have no idea how you date when you’re living in a van. Anyway it’s another aspect of your van life that would be interesting if you wanted to share but if you don’t wanna share with us … you go girl!! I’ll still be watching you whether you announce that you’re dating or however your situation is. I just really enjoy watching you and Kelli and your adventures.😀 I learn sooooo much
If you have seen the movie Nomadland, the lead character in the film has a guy who is trying to "save her" as well. She has a choice to make, live life in a beautiful home where she will join a family, or live a free, independent life on the road in her van. I won't say any more as not to give away what happens for those who have not seen it. Beautiful movie, a little slow moving but worth a watch. Your story reminded me of that movie.
You need shore power outlet, so when you can, you can charge everything quickly. then when you drive your alternator will charge more efficiently. Friends may let you plug in when you visit.
Emi you are a special independent lady, glad you are enjoying your life style and it is perfect for Kitty too. You two are so cute. Enjoy every moment and be safe. Mama Jean from South Texas
Hahahaha… You are so funny, Emi. Appreciate your straightforward responses to questions, especially the more personal ones. And I see Miss Kelli has the same approach. She wasn’t going to talk about dating either. Totally understandable… or should be.
I'm so glad you explained the "dating/relationship" aspect of our lives. This is my home and I don't need you to save me. I love being alone with my animals and being totally self sufficient. I have wonderful nomad friends, mostly solo women. 👏
Love all your answers and I agree with the dating, which was pretty much the same even before I started living in my home on wheels. I like being my own person and enjoy being alone always for as long as I can remember. It is truly the only time I am happy 😁 Independence is having a set of keys...

I have just discovered your you tube channel. I used to live in my camper van with my cat, in the UK. For a couple of years. They were happy times. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you for sharing them. Best wishes for you both.
The great thing about living in your van and dating is that you can just drive away. A stranger offering you a room in his home on the 1st ever coffee date would be a huge heads up for me. I'd leave ASAP.
Emi, you are more intriguing the more I watch you. I really like your every day living videos. And good for you for not allowing others to define what's"normal" living. 👍
Your view on the “Dating” is so awesome! You know what you want. Most of all it would be personal anyways to be sharing that part of your life. Good for you👍🙌🌹! Congrats on 35k subs! Magic Bullet blender is awesome. Small, 250 watts, mine is well past a decade old and still working fine. In fact, I bought a new one that I haven't unboxed yet because the old one keeps on working fine. My favorite smoothie recipe is one pre-peeled frozen banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream, one pouch of french vanilla carnation breakfast essentials powder, canned beets, and filled almost to top with milk or similar. Haha I like how the cat has a little pad to lay on right on the dashboard That cat has a great view Thanks for giving the cat a good life It’s really cool
I test the mechanics. I take a vehicle in for an oil change and then ask them about squeaking brakes (I know there is no issue because the brakes were done three months earlier) So if the mechanic comes back saying brakes need to be done - run from that place. Or I will use squeaking belts (and they are new and working fine) same thing, if they say you need work - run. When I owned a garage our mechanics used a book called the Chilton - it gives you the hours it would take to fix an issue. Now with the internet you can find out what it takes to do a repair. There are things you should know about, check fluid levels, belts, have extra fuses on hand (lost all my electrical and it was just a fuse issue) tire pressure gauge and air compressor and the tools to change a tire and booster cables. I also travel with a good tire plugging kit and an AMA card just incase I get really desperate.
I love your videos! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I took the "dating question" more along the lines of how do/would you stay safe as a single woman dating while living in a van.
I tried asking Chrome if he was doing another video this year, but would you be interested in making a video like he did last year? He just made a camp fire and played music to listen while unwrapping gifts. That sort of thing is something I'd watch just to sleep to. Just exactly what he did, either with or without music, or one of each. Just the sound of the fire crackling is great. That's something anyone can use.
I mean, that's something I could do, but I don't have a lot of subscribers. You could do that all year, too. Just record the fire from different angle like he did with multiple cameras and put it on a loop. Fairly minimal effort required.
Yes personal life is personal life, van life is van life, I love all the different scenery you show the mountains just spectacular. And learning things about camping I appreciate everything you share,
Ola Emi new sub here. Thanks for the q & a ! ( please be carefull , with those cigarette 12 volt connectors. The wire can get very hot, when under load, and start a fire. Change them for Anderson connectors , with a inline breaker. ).
Good answers, especially the last one. It was funny when you asked the cat "are you dating? You wanna talk about dating?" I see you're happy with your lifestyle. It seems like a great adventure. I wouldn't mind trying it myself.
Just subscribe to your channel been watching the other guy from around your area band life dude. Had never been interested in Van life and just stumbled upon it the other day while watching videos on boondocking my RV travel trailer. I've been thinking about going van life now
Check your fuse for the front cigarette lighter. Also you might what to twist the plug in the cigarette lighter jack a little to make sure you're making good contact.
Good day !! I have tried to date and have moved out of the van into their home and I miss the vanlife and will be returning to that in the near future. I will not date in the future unless they understand the lifestyle and willing to embrace it. You are an inspiration to many !!

And learning things about camping I appreciate everything you share,
Nakakatuwa ka , super kalog kakawala ng stress while watching you . Take care always !

( please be carefull , with those cigarette 12 volt connectors. The wire can get very hot, when under load, and start a fire.
Change them for Anderson connectors , with a inline breaker. ).
Thank you for sharing your daily life and very personal questions and answers. Your such a nice person . Thanks.....sharon

Good answers, especially the last one. It was funny when you asked the cat "are you dating? You wanna talk about dating?" I see you're happy with your lifestyle. It seems like a great adventure. I wouldn't mind trying it myself.
Love the Q& A videos

I like your take on dating. You gotta set your priorities up front.
Too cute. I bet Kelly has many secret admirers 🙂❤️💙💚
I'm sure she got a few 😹
Just subscribe to your channel been watching the other guy from around your area band life dude. Had never been interested in Van life and just stumbled upon it the other day while watching videos on boondocking my RV travel trailer. I've been thinking about going van life now
Too funny at the end about asking Kelly about a boyfriend !! Too cute ! Love your videos!😊
Since the alternator puts out consistently you could charge anything plugged in. But be careful about carbon monoxide from the exhaust fumes.
Check your fuse for the front cigarette lighter. Also you might what to twist the plug in the cigarette lighter jack a little to make sure you're making good contact.
Thanks for answering my question, both here and directly. It was an awesome surprise. 😘👍
😺 Kelly says, "Mom! You're embarrassing me!" 😼
I’ve been watching you channel a while now but somehow I missed this one. I really enjoyed it! Love your answers. Merry Christmas.
You go girl!
love you Emi and kelly
Good day !! I have tried to date and have moved out of the van into their home and I miss the vanlife and will be returning to that in the near future. I will not date in the future unless they understand the lifestyle and willing to embrace it. You are an inspiration to many !!
