Hi Jay and Amber. This video reminds me: have you ever tried to get Def Leppard involved in any of these creator videos? Jay, I know how much you love them and Joe Elliott could talk ALL DAY about music history. As a matter of fact, one of his favorite genres is early 70s glam. DL has an album from 2022 that has a glammy-glam sound called Diamond Star Halos which is a shout out to T-Rex's Get It On. You should get Joe on the horn and watch the video for Kick off that album with him.

Tony married into a couple of Beatle connections. He was married to both Mary Hopkin who recorded Those Were the Days, and Goodbye (both produced by Paul McCartney, Goodbye written by Paul), and May Pang, John's girlfriend when he was separated from Yoko Ono.
He also did the orchestral arrangements for Paul's album Band on the Run. He was co-producer on the first albums by the Beatles Apple label band Badfinger.

T-REX Marc BOLAN Born: 30 September 1947, Stoke Newington, London, United Kingdom Died: 16 September 1977 (age 29 years), Barnes, London, United Kingdom which robbed the world of another greatest artist!

There's a memorial to Marc in Barnes, near where the car crashed. I visit it at least once every year, and have been for more than a decade now and think back to when I got a copy of Bolan Boogie as a 13 year old (maybe 14).
It's sad we lost Marc so young but I'm so happy he's still remembered fondly by so many fans, old and new.

I was today years old when I discovered this wonderful song. I was at a friends birth and she had this on her playlist and I just loved it! She said she thought the lyric "I danced myself right out the womb" was fitting and I agree. This conversation with Tony Visconti is fabulous and I loved listening to how the song got to be made - fascinating stuff.

But it wasn't until the digital age that I heard and appreciated all the nuances in the music of this band. Totally due to Tony Visconti's production genius. Thank you sir for some epic music!

T-Rex a group I grew up listening to. Marc Bolan was so different just like Bowie! You can't go wrong reacting to more of T-Rex, hits like Jeepster, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution, Metal Guru, Telegram Sam, 20th Century Boy, Solid Gold Easy Action. Listening to this group as a teenager in this period of time I thought he was quite sexy, the way he looked and sang.
