In his exact position… I live with my dad and our bond grew tight and strong but a lot of bad things fill the time when we aren’t bonding and spend it fighting and arguing about my life and mistakes and decisions including my addictions while I am trying to get sober. I live in CA and moving to TN soon to get away from everything and staff fresh. Currently sitting and listening to this song. I hope everyone struggling makes it… Whether it’s their dream they achieve or drive to achieve self love and happiness. I have you all that share something in common with me, I’m my heart and thoughts. Stay strong, stay the course. ✌🏼❤️
This movie made me cry so many times, it reminded me of my brother who overdosed and passed away in 2020 age 18 after a long struggle with addiction. His loss hit me hard but it’s become easier to handle with the years. I’m really thankful to this movie for telling the story of what addiction does not only to the addict but to their family aswell. So much pain and sorrow and worry. I really wish my brother was still alive so he could have seen the person I am today.

Especially now that I got on prescription medication but I fight the urge to harm myself everyday. Sometimes, I fail. I look at the scars on my skin and the scars in my soul when I look into the mirror. I hope one day I will never beg for the urge to harm myself and not harm those around me in the process.

I found this song before I drive 2905 miles to go live with my mom after 2 years of not seeing her. I've been estranged from myself and I know this trip is going to reconnect me with a part of myself I've been missing.
