In contrast, Bucharest's old buildings still standing after several earthquakes, communist demolition campaigns, and decay, are French-influenced, la Belle Époque style, and Italian architecture influenced. The architectural style often confused with the brutalist (communist) style, is in reality the “rationalist” style (also known as fascist architecture) used between the '30s and '40s. The old buildings from Oradea, or Timisoara, Cluj, and Arad are built in the Austro-Hungarian imperial style architecture, the secessionist Art Nouveau (1890-1914).

All apartment buildings in Oradea if they are pre or post Ceaușescu are still built the same when a new political system moves in they don’t all of a sudden reform their construction methods. A brand new apartment in Oradea has the same layout and dimensions as an old one. It’s still Soviet but now they put pretty colors on the outside instead of bare concrete

So just want to say that ROMANIA WAS NEVER SOVIET! yes they were communist until 1989, but they were never part of the USSR.
Also, there's no dispute at all whether Oradea is still part of Hungary. Period. And that girl you asked if she was wearing a traditional Romania dress? She lied, she's Hungarian and that's a Hungarian dress.
A lot of that colorful architecture is of a succesionist art nouveau style btw
My girlfriend is from Oradea and found this video (along with me) to be quite laughable and cringey.

that 'Zardog' face is a romanian thing but the building behind it was built during comunist time. During that time, Oradea was indeed a sh5thole. For example, that gang that you like so much at 12:24 and made you think of queens, kings and guillotines was derelict, abandoned, ful of graffities and the place where the alcoholics and gypsies use to go to urinate and poo. Just saying
