YesWelder Helmet Battery Replacement Guide

If you look at an auto-darkening welding helmet that is being supported by a battery while the battery is being charged by a solar panel, you may think that a yeswelder helmet battery replacement could be difficult. Why? Because you may notice that there are a lot of accessories that seem to be holding the filter lens panel in place ,this part is where the auto darkening welding helmet battery is located.
So if you need to do a welding helmet battery change, you may need to disassemble the whole set of filter lens panels and detach it from the helmet to get hold of the battery. But sometimes you can also do it without detaching the panel if you are careful.
In this video, I’m going to show you what is to be done when replacing the battery of the yeswelder true color welding helmet. By the way, they call this helmet a true color because you can see clearly what you’re doing under your helmet while welding or plasma cutting. Unlike the conventional or the old model auto-darkening welding helmets. The yeswelder true color welding helmet can provide you a clearer view regardless of your torch settings.
As you will see in my presentation here, it can take a little bit of knowledge when conducting a welding helmet battery change and also a careful hand because detaching and attaching the plastic parts that hold the filter lens panel could be risky for the plastic clips to break or fly from your hand and get lost.
You may ask when will be the right time for a yeswelder helmet battery replacement and my answer is really simple. Whenever the reaction of the auto-darkening helmet becomes slow or in the worst-case scenario will not work at all, this is the time for a welding helmet battery change.
If you need to change your yeswelder true color welding helmet’s battery and you do not have a spare, don’t throw away the used battery but note down its battery series/number or take a picture using your cellphone which you can send or show to the seller. Because as you may not know, there are different types of flat batteries for different welding helmets though these are generally of the Lithium types.

yes, those helmets. Question: do helmets sit differently on everybody? We have some where you can't see thru the screen - too low down and so on. Took a long time to find out that not all helmets are built to the standard head !
