I grew up on this lake. There are tree stumps a plenty just under the water. Ok to "haul booty" but use caution! There are catfish in this lake as big as a car lol
My mom used to go there a lot back in the 70s we are thinking about moving onto a property my grandpa used to live and it’s 10 minutes drive/ I enjoyed the video 😊
How big is this lake for the upcoming 2024 eclipse? It seems this lake will be the only nature like place that is along the optimal line of longest totality (center). Do people know this and should we expect crazy crowds? I'm going to bring an electric scooter or E-bike and use that in case it got so crowded you couldn't drive anywhere and had to park somewhere random.

Went there alot as a kid in the mid to late 70s. remember the beach swimming area. Had to wear your snickers to swim there. Lots of rocks.

This lake is not wide open and is loaded with submerged timber. Please do your homework on this lake before flying down the middle of the lake.

At lake twanakoni I stayed in cabin 50 cabin 1 and I'm going to cabin 3

The only natural sizable lake in Texas is Caddo Lake, but even that one has a dam now!

East of the DFW metroplex in north/east Texas. Lake Lavon and Ray Hubbard are to the west of Tawakoni, and Lake Fork is to the east.
