Therese a way of testing another os without destroying your mac install. Ubuntu/Popos have a live boot option alowing you to boot via the Usb/Sd card and not wipe you system while running ubuntu, it works well.
That login screen and the old skeumorphic design is so iconic. It really set Apple apart. I also like how the dock matches the keyboard in size. Good attention to detail from Apple.
Absolutely loved the video! I have a very similar channel, so I loved to see this type of content. You got a beautiful example of the MacBook Pro there! Thanks for sharing.
There's a high chance that part of the slowness is caused by the SMC throttling it because of the lack of a battery. I own a great condition 17" 2007 that runs exceptionally slow without a battery, high CPU usage but almost no heat generated. The speakers are almost as good as my 2016 13", surprisingly... Loving the content!

it is usually slow afff
@@MIrophage unfortunately that's the case for a lot of the 32bit systems in the modern age whether its linux, windows, etc.

100% i do miss these apple days even though I grew up in the iOS 7 flat design era for the most part
i still have early 2011 mac book it still works great i bought used about years ago
I always have a soft side for 2011 15” MacBooks, it’s my very first one I bought years ago

Thank you! Will check it out
@@cynonexus Thanks bro!
I still have a 2008 MBP that I use once in awhile. I would buy a new original battery for it if I could.
Lots of available on Amazon and eBay! Just need to pick the right one!
still looks better than all laptops today
it is indeed! the bezels are still thin!
I am surprised it was able to do this much 18 years later. My 2010 netbook seems in less capable despite the x64 OS.
I had a netbook with an atom cpu and it’s an absolute pain to use in todays world

I completely forgot about the low power mode without the battery! That’s definitely it!
Some Linux distros still support 32-bit, like AntiX, Puppy Linux, and Arch Linux 32.
Got a lot of video ideas coming!
yo! you should really try a polycarbonate unibody 09 or 10 macbook with big sur or monterrey!
Coming soon ;)
U could run a 32bit windows 10
I actually downloaded a 32bit windows 10, curious how it will perform
@@cynonexus that sounds like a good idea
Bring it back to life with a Linux distribution.
More videos to come for sure! I’ll be putting ubuntu
It’s a bummer that these have limited upgrade-ability, because they have one of best keyboards I’ve ever used on a laptop
Install windows on it (32 bit) it would work pretty fine as long as you don't do that much gaming.
for sure! that'll be an upcoming video especially having a big 500gb already installed!
@@cynonexus nice.
