      @@JoePackJoeNCNah, just excited for the future. As a Bears fan for 40 years, I’ve never really seen them field a qb that can take over a game.
      While I can’t say Caleb is the end-all-be-all qb, I can say that he’s had the hottest start of any of them and it isn’t close.
      Cutler had games and stretches where he looked the part but ultimately disappointed.
      Caleb has started way better than Jay, who was already in the league 3 years when he came.
      What I’m saying is that Caleb looks like the goods and will probably be the best qb in the North for the foreseeable.

    • @MFBloosh
      @MFBloosh День назад +24

      @@tommylomein Sure, but Jayden played better than most veterans this year lol. As far as stats go, all 3 top rookies in Jayden, Bo, and Caleb have extremely similar stat lines, too. The main difference is the situation that they're in. Bears have the 30th ranked passing O Line in the league as of week 18, and all you have to do is watch the games to see that. It's been an issue for years with the Bears, too. Cutler was running for his life a lot of times, or getting obliterated. Mitch also had to run for his life. Justin had to run for his life, but dude was an athletic freak and had some of the best QB runs we've ever seen BECAUSE of the weak protection. And now there's Caleb who also has ran for his life and been obliterated all season. But as the OP said, 3600 yards and 20 TDs to just 6 INTs, breaking the rookie record set by CJ Stroud (almost doubling it) for most passes thrown without an INT, and over 400 rush yards on top of that. He's the first Bears QB since 2014 Jay Cutler to have 4,000 total yards, and he did it behind one of the worst O Lines in the league with one of the worst coaching staffs in the league. Give the kid a break and let's see how he does if and when the Bears, as an organization, get their stuff together.

    • @bearfan3417
      @bearfan3417 День назад +18

      Calling any QB in this class is a bust or a star is too early. You simply can't judge a QB that quickly. History tells us this. Stroud was great last year and ok this year. Josh Allen was terrible his rookie year and is now an All-Pro.

      @@AlphamaleAOlol Jayden walked into a nice and easy situation where nothing was asked of him and had 2 more years of college. If he didn’t do alright I would have been surprised. He still doesn’t have Caleb talent but it was a really good year for Jayden. He actually stayed healthy for more than 50% of the time. So props to their med staff for keeping him alive beyond some rib issues.

    Caleb had a lot more memorable, flashy plays this year, but his throw at 32:55 to DJ Moore is one of the craziest plays I've ever seen. This wasn't a chuck and a prayer, you can see in the slo-mo that he sees DJ come open and hits him where only DJ could get it on 4th down, with the game on the line and 3 free rushers in his face WHILE SPRINTING BACKWARDS.
    These plays make it easy to see why he went number one - incredible unteachable talent. Here's hoping the Bears next coaching staff can harness a bit more of that magic, improve the deep passing game, and make the O-Line not act like a wet paper towel 50% of the time. A run game wouldn't hurt either...

    There are some throws in here that are ABSOLUTELY INSANE. It's crazy to think, he put us in position to win at the end of games 5 times..... and was coached out of 4 of those opportunities by poor coaching. Oh the national narrative would have been so different if we had better coaching lol.

    Caleb is going to be a great quarterback in this league. It wasn’t the season most ppl most of us were expecting but despite that he still had a pretty good year. There’s a few things he has to clean especially the deep ball and making the simple check down passes when there’s nothing downfield open or just getting rid of the ball. Once he does that and the Bears get him a better O-Line I promise it’s over for him.

    Beneath the lights, the crowd’s loud hum,
    Caleb stands poised, the moment’s drum.
    A warrior clad in cardinal and gold,
    A story of fire and heart, untold.
    The snap, the surge, the line gives way,
    A dance of shadows, the game’s ballet.
    Eyes sharp as eagles, scanning the field,
    A maestro commanding his team’s fierce shield.
    His arm, a cannon, releases the ball,
    A spiral slicing through air’s thin wall.
    It glimmers, it soars, a comet’s trace,
    Landing soft in a receiver’s embrace.
    Feet like whispers, he evades the chase,
    Defenders grasping at fleeting space.
    With grit and grace, his presence looms,
    A storm unfolding in golden blooms.
    Oh, Caleb Williams, gridiron’s muse,
    With every throw, your legend accrues.
    A glazing force, with power to thrill,
    The heartbeat of victory, unyielding will.
