There have to be people out there who find this video and can help create these custom desktop browser notification sounds a reality, so the user can change each individual sound for each individual domain sending notifications to their Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc. browser. We need to find these people and get them to comment here. Mobile browsers can use the Android and iOS operating systems to pull this off, but us Windows desktop users need to be able to have this option.
Imagine being able to hear the difference between an alert from a new Gmail notification having one sound, and a notification coming from your laptop that's a totally different, custom sound that's letting you know your favorite RUclipsr just posted a new video! And that's just the tip of the custom push notification sound iceberg!!
If we could get this going, I can see custom notification sound packs being created which we could download and basically plug into our browsers that would have unique sounds for every domain that's capable of sending push notifications to desktop browsers.

My Notification doesn't work anymore. Maybe there are settings that are blocking it?
Hi. Looking for the same solution on Firefox. I want to hear a loud or customization when a new chat message arrives. When a message comes in, I see a markee/flashing notification at the title bar of the tab but the default sound is so faint. I tried using distill extension but they don't work with containers. The other extensions like tab notification and that sound notification on your video don't work and are useless. The authors left.
Distill works for me only because it directly addresses an issue of needing to be alerted of a page change. So, I can get a custom alert but it’s not so much the browser as it is the extension doing its own thing it’s designed to do.
I would still like custom sounds per domain browser notifications and have yet to find a solution. I wish I knew how to code.
@@SillyReviews unfortunately, when used in multi-containers, it doesn't detect anything. Thanks anyway. I wonder if there's some kind of script that detects push notifications in the tab title bar.
