Good to know that this prize-winning film will be seen around the world. Very well done! But what will anyone make of the name 'Emo'? Like most anglicised names, it means nothing. Perhaps it derives from an Irish word, 'ioma' meaning 'a contention', but that is a matter of contention among scholars.
The Irish Placenames Commission gives it as 'a bed or resting place' which has more appeal than 'a contention'. Even so, the precise origin is almost certainly lost or vague, like the statues themselves in the early fog of recent days.
So beautiful. Thank you!
The Tai chi gestures so mirror the words.
Many thanks, Anne, for the kind words.
