He wants you to get something out of those seasons of hurt, or else He wouldn't have allowed them to happen. What afflictions have you endured to get to where you are, and did they make you better or bitter? If you don't make peace with your past, you cannot stand effective in your present or future. I’ve fought a good fight and am still fighting. 16 years now as single parent to 3 boys. One graduated college this year, one who was suicidal and hospitalized two years ago is becoming firefighter/paramedic and third is senior in high school who just received his first college acceptance!

3 heartbreaks, battled cancer, broken family and still was one of the best graduating students in law school now sitting for my bar exams praying for his still mercies...it's been a fight
Months later: I cleared my bar exams and now awaiting to be called at the bar a month from now. Am in good health with no traces of cancer after 3 years post chemotherapy. Am grateful to all your prayers and help

I had an experience just yesterday that left me feeling betrayed, isolated and standing by myself, confiding in people who I didn’t know were my enemy at the time! But I hear God speaking to me through this Word! I will pray for them and thank God for standing with me!
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was hurt initially but now I'm glad cause it exposed my enemies. Now I'm going to continue to love and pray for them.

Jesus death on the cross and his resurrection was for all and We do not Deserve it and there is nothing we can do to deserve it. The love and mercy of the God of Creation is not earned by me : it all was given freely and with great love. We must be Holy to please God. We are to Serve Him!
God is so great I know he brought me from along way I would have been gone from here if God did not have protect me many times IAM still going through things but he still pulling me through I was not the best all the time but he still teaching me where I went wrong.

Actually, your past is the most valuable piece to your future. In my past, I wasn't cared for as a child, I was sexually abused. I was around adults who were to afraid to speak up for me when I needed them to. This caused me to have a fighting spirit. I developed the courage to do what most people wouldn't do in a lifetime, I spoke out. All by myself. Imagine, a little girl having to do the job of adults. No one listened though. I am a woman today and because of my bad past I am able to speak up for those who are over looked.
For all those being mistreated, what is done in the dark will come to the light. There no way the dark can avoid the light.

I really needed to hear this, I just turned 18 around 8 or 9 I started getting molested and raped by family members, then in foster care around 10 I also kept getting raped and started being abused....I've managed to work really hard in school to where I got accepted into Harvard University, somehow I kept fighting even when I wanted to commit suicide and give up in general on everything, But no matter what happened THE MOST HIGH was there for me and he gave me a little light that ended up leading me this far❤

Jesus was a friend to me and IS always still, when everyone else gave up on me. When all left, He stood with me. He made a way out of the lions den. I pray for strength and courage to pick up my cross again NOW! It ends now, the addiction, the health struggles, the fear and shame and guilt. The old man is dead and I am putting on the new again! I am choosing to stand up NOW for my wife, my family, for CHRIST because He is my Savior and friend. I am Co-heir with Christ when He gifts me with the filling of his Holy Spirit! Dear Father let me start afresh this day! Forgive me of my sins, known and unknown. I lift up my heart for you to hold it King Jesus and continue to mold it. Please instill a renewed sense of urgency for you God each day. Help me to not stay in complacency or excuses. I am not worthy to recieve you but only say the word and i shall be HEALED!

This is one of my favorites, I was hit by a truck while walking on side of road and was in coma for 6 weeks, doctors said I had a 1% chance to live. At the same time my family and friends and my spouse disowned me and everyone severely Gaslighted me for 3 yrs nonstop. I almost committed suicide. I started believeing in my faith more and that got me through the rejection. I lost everything except my life and faith. And you TD jakes, listening to you got me to keep my faith and still do. And with God. Thank you for you being you. I'm doing physical therapy still . Faith in God, and listening to you keep me going. God is good all the time. I was shot by my business partner for money he was not going to give I was leaving the business and he rather shoot me. I also was turned away from family no friends. I turned to God over the time three days coma and fight the pain. Only God helped my in that fight the pain in living life only God shown me the way. Amen

Physically abused, sexually abused for many years by multiple abusers, brain trauma, abandoned and rejected by family. Been a single mom to my 2 children who are both struggling with trauma. Yet God has not left us🙏🏾 working through it learning to trust he has a purpose for us.🙏🏾

And I have been folks that if they study td jakes teachings they will be alive instead if just living. A flow of living water will spring up in them and they will know who they are for once in their lives. My husband passed on June 18, 2021. The Bible verse that I put on his obituary is 2 Timothy 4:7-8. He was 43 when he passed, he was born with renal failure, not expected to live past the age of 7. I’m thankful for the time I had him. When this sermon started, and I heard the verse I stopped in my office and broke down. I have listened to this sermon all day, constantly rewinding that verse. This has been an easy year but I too have fought a Good Fight! This sermon was needed today as I plan his bday party, confirmation that I’m on the right track.

Jakes before I became a Christian, and always felt comforted by his messages, and I prayed couple hours ago telling God I want to go back to the start, where I always felt in tune with him, and I searched up “Getting over the past”, and this popped up and it’s only 2 days old, I know it can only be God guiding me through this time and God bless TD and everyone else. ❤️
@Kla Boi I don’t watch him all the time, this was before I was even saved or baptized in Jesus name, so it’s not my Bishop, I can clearly see how he’s transitioned a lot even in this appearance and dressing, but to me it doesn’t mean I should not listen to his sermons and take the bits and pieces I can which may be beneficial for me, I find that God uses people in very strange ways and I’m not one to be stuck on ones opinions, I can’t judge a man only God can, and if He allows me to judge it would only be according to His word, Lord knows if He will choose to use TD for one soul to commit to God, He can and it’s not my place to be stuck on basic things that God can change if He chooses to.
