    Hello everyone, this is Korean Unnie who makes learning Korean Fun & Easy! I started my RUclips channel when I was a University Student because I was studying abroad in America and came across many people around the globe who was interested in Korean language and the country itself, South Korea. So I made this channel 'Korean Unnie' as I wanted to be the next door Korean Unnie to all of you who have subscribed! By the way to whom doesn't know, 'Unnie' means sister in Korean. To be specific, 'older sister' and it is a term used by girls to be specific. Well now it became like a pronoun and 'Korean Unnie' refers to me, Sohyun Moon! I am really glad that I was able to make this progress along the RUclips journey so I am able to reach more and more of you!
    I uploaded a variety of content related to learning Korean and about Korea from learning Korean Alphabets, learning Korean through K POP, learning Korean Slangs, Proverbs, Idioms, Sino-Korean Words (Hanja), situational Must-Know phrases, real-life based must-know phrases, Korean grammar patters... and so much more!
    I wish I can continue to deliver fun & easy content for you guys with more various content in creative ways, and as I go on, my work will be more systemized and organized. I plan to grow the Korean Unnie brand and publish e-books, create merches, and many more.
    Thank you for subscribing, #dongdongsquad!
    (P.S. Dongdongsquad is what I call my subscribers. I named it after Dongsaeng, which means 'younger siblings' in Korean. Since I call myself 'Korean Unnie;)' By the way, I have a dog named Dongdong too. But guess what, I named my dog after you guys.
    SEE YA, #dongdongsquad! 👋

    Since 하다 is a irregular/especial verb (I memorized like that) it change the rule and the verb 말하다 finish in 하다 so we change the rule and be:
    - 말했어요

    A tip for unnie:
    - you could use those magnets for color coding. You put one color on similiar verbs/words and the other colors on other kind of words

    @KoreanUnnie the answer is 말했어요. I'm really sire of the grammar rule behind it, but I know I've heard it a lot in dramas. I think it has something to do with the 하 in the word.

    Always smiled, kind, supportive and encouraging! 👍👍👍 And does a great job at explaining! This format even saves her a lot of time. Less editing. Less burnout.
    Interestingly it almost completely stopped snowing during the class! :D ❄️❄️💪
    수업을 해 주고 past tense 진짜 예쁘게 소개해 줬어요. 감사하고요!
    오늘은 장난 치고 싶은 동동이 어디에 있지?? 🐶 There was no need for '떠들지 마세요!' and '조용히 하세요!' today ;))
    Now 🤨🤨 누가 땡땡이 쳤어요? 땡땡이 치지 마 🙃🙃 Don't ditch Korean Unnie's class!

    I actually got confused (and I’m still am) it’s a bit hard for this word considering that it have 3 words then 2 words like the other examples but.. first I thought it would be 말하어요 but scrolling down through the comments I saw that it’s actually 말했하다 I am still confused with that Unnie
    I realized that I am late for your videos but since I start watching and learning from you channel I only learn from yours because your explanation is very simple and easy to understand, I will recommend my friends to learn Korean from you, Unnie.

    와, 너무 멋있어요. (Wow, you are so cool/handsome)
    와, 너무 잘생기셨어요. (Wow, you are so handsome)
    Wait so is this in past tense?

    • @fourreto3281
      @fourreto3281 4 года назад

      와, 너무 멋있어요. (Wow, you are so cool/handsome) -> Dictionary form is 멋있다 so it is conjugated in present tense.
      와, 너무 잘생기셨어요. (Wow, you are so handsome) -> Dictionary form is 잘생기다, so it has honorific. Well I don't really know about that one, but some korean AV/DV are usually used with past tense in a "present tense" meaning, such as 입다 (to wear) -> 입었어요

    말하다=말하=말핬어요 I'm late to this video but that's ok first I dropped the 다 to get the verb stem then I saw there was no 받침 which means less work :^) so i added ㅆ어요 because I know 하 ends in a vowel after pounding that in my head for the past month

    *Homework:*
    The verb stem of 말하다 is 말하- so since it ends in the yang vowel 아 you would think it would be 말핬어요 but 하다 becomes 해요, not 하아요, so similarly, instead of 말핬어요, it would become 말했어요.
    I think..??
    Anyway, thank you for the lesson 안니 💙💙

    What if a verb Stam ends with an i? Do I have to use then ㅓ and ㅜ or ㅏ and ㅗ to go on?

    • @nazka381
      @nazka381 3 года назад

      In one of her previous videos she said that "i" is dark vowel too. So it would take -었어요 probably.
      (She also said "ㅏ and ㅗ are bright vowels, the rest are dark vowels" )
