You're single-handedly teaching me parts of roblox I, as a 3 year roblox developer, have never touched. Your thorough and slow teaching style is much appreciated. Please don't stop tackling these obscure topics, as they are the ones that need to be taught the most.
I’m a simple person, I see Suphi post. I watch, learn, re watch repeatedly and then I attempt my own copy along then I tweak it for use cases I want. I should also then practice again re writing it to drill it into my brain further. You should too!
First in depth tutorial I’ve came across! Was very confused about this at first, but now it seems it is possible to script some custom behaviour for streaming enabled, which is great, because in some games I’ve done things have looked really weird with streaming enabled on.
Dude the effort you put in your videos whether it be research, in-depth explanation, the visuals, and the pace is incredible. Many of the 100k+ subscriber youtubers don't even put as much effort as you do and it is honestly so inspiring to everyone that watches your videos. I genuinely believe you should have way more subscribers as your content is so underrated. I know its niche scenario videos but to proper, determined, and more experienced programmers, your videos are a literal dream come true-- I say this because I am one of them! I love watching your tutorials, even if I know the content very well because you teach so many new things and new methods, it really helps everyone out! As everyone else has mentioned in this comment section, don't ever stop your amazing work because it is appreciated by thousands and soon will be by millions! You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs! :) Good luck on your journey!
@@Korrow Whoops, I meant to say ‘one of the best scripting tutorial content creators’ not ‘one of the best scripting tutorials’. But yeah true! Without this guy, I would’ve never really delved into what content streaming is.
Wow, i have just found you yesterday, watched half of the videos, cuz they are amazing. And here you are, a new tutorial. Thanks for awesome content, keep it up! :)
Woah this is really cool. I knew games like Skyrim had something like this to prevent the map from being entirely loaded but I didn't know Roblox had it!
I find this tutorial to be super helpful, I'm currently making a game and I need to find a way to optimize it's graphical output to all platforms, this is really helpful sir, thank you!
if this feature had more options, u could reduce or even completely prevent ESP hacks. am i wrong? just make it so the server never streams any other character to ur client until a ray between ur character and that character has no obstacles between it, meaning theyre in ur view and should be streamed to ur client. u would just need to think about the fact that the 3rd person camera is not inside ur character. unfortunately they havent given us enough options to make this... unless theres a way i havent thought of
Is the Content Streaming Client to Server delay a problem in combat games like Deepwoken, GPO, YBA or Project Slayers? I think the delay can make the combat laggy
1) don't parent the part into workspace or replicated storage 2) You can place the part in a worldmodel that is in server storage 3) You can place the part in the servers camera
@@5uphi is there a way for me to make a part or model stop replicating to a certain client or a bundle of clients? for example if I have my own sight system I can stop streaming the other plyers model to the main client so they can no longer see them, and if they exploit they cant see them either
@@5uphi dang, the whole point was to not use remote events because they have to communicate with the client, if i could stop streaming something fully from the server then any hackers or just bugs client sided would not be able to see whatever i dont want them to see (of course if this did exist i would use it sparingly) i'll prolly make a feature request for us to have the ability to choose what to stream, and when to streamIn and streamOut something completely from the server
Creating a object then immediately sending it to the client with a remote event errors saying the object is nil is there any work around for this? (Only happens with streaming enabled)
@@5uphi is it possible to make the client receive anything from the server? I want in my game when somone get unconscious it dont receive anythin from the server, bc the play cant move or do anything while is unconscious so it dont need to receive nothing from server, the only way is setting a part far a away and focus it?

Content streaming is a very cool feature of Roblox so I'm happy I have helped you with it

this channel is a gem
Thanks for making an in-depth video of this topic after the update :)
Quite literally one of, if not, the best Roblox Scripting tutorials on the platform. Keep it up! Seriously!
This ain’t really a scripting tutorial but more of a useful under appreciated feature 😊

yay
Awesome video! Could you maybe do a video about ContentProvider and how to properly preload assets?
OH MY GOD YOU MADE A STREAM?!?!?
Is the Content Streaming Client to Server delay a problem in combat games like Deepwoken, GPO, YBA or Project Slayers? I think the delay can make the combat laggy
SO COOL!!! this can be set to just one player trough script???? its gonna be so useful, I dont want clint know this it should need to know
I cant make it to 0 so sad
so how do u actually calculate the studs in the game for the streaming min radius? i mean the stud distance between a part to a different part
Awesome video
Suphi kaner could you maybe make a video going in depth about distortion please?
like how to make an Barrel Distortion or CFrame matrix.
great video
imposter mesh sus
Is that possible to add another role as “Game Master” to do the secret activities during game play?
❤❤❤
Cool!
thanks
No problem 😁
I wonder if you could make lens distortion
AYE IM EARLY!
is it just me or do i hear doom eternal ambiance

No unless you create a custom replication system using remote events
@@5uphi dang, the whole point was to not use remote events because they have to communicate with the client, if i could stop streaming something fully from the server then any hackers or just bugs client sided would not be able to see whatever i dont want them to see (of course if this did exist i would use it sparingly)

You can use childadded
What do you mean? the object is already parented on the server
Use childadded on the client side to see when the part is replicated to the client
ok ty
bro I cant make it less than 64 whyy so sad
Roblox uses a chunk system to keep track of what's been streamed and what has not so if it went any lower then it would get smaller then 1 chunk

you could set the players replication focus to a part very far away
