economic news. oh yeah. reminds me of a funny (but sad) story that happened last year. threw 1k in ninjatrader and was having a blast for a week or so. was in and out of MES and ES. i had really no idea what i was doing at the time, but one morning i was up 3.5k and was like oh man, ok i'll do 3-4 contracts. i believe some news hit and i got liquidated instantly lol. all the gains were gone, paid the liquidation fee, and had $30 or so left in my account. i wasn't using stops or profit targets, i was just doing buy bid, sell ask, and/or sell bid, and buy at bid. cycling between them. just going in an out all day like i was playing a rpg game LOL anyways, just wanted to share cause your economic news part is so important!

No, no they're not. Some prop firms DO NOT ALLOW you to trade within minutes before and after them.
