    I was kind of aware Lennon had been in a WWII movie but I never saw any footage from it until now. Seems like it's alot of fun, also all the vehicles/equipment/weapons look surprisingly accurate for a low budget screwball comedy movie.

    • @buddymonger3970
      @buddymonger3970 11 месяцев назад +19

      Military surplus from the war was still relatively cheap and easy to get back in '67, and there were still a lot of veterans about so accuracy was easier to achieve.

    • @BrickLlew
      @BrickLlew 11 месяцев назад +5

      It's easy to forget relativity. The war ended just 22 years prior to the film's release. Not only was the war within the living memory of the majority of the population, but most of the equipment was still plentiful. I guarantee the vast majority of the equipment you see in the film is original (at least the British kit).
      Even now, some of it is still relatively cheap. You can pick up a Pattern 37 belt for less than £10 if you know where to look

People are trying to bring round frames back into style in 2023 ....but they are slightly larger and bug eyed. I prefer the old school Lennon glasses and always wondered where he got them made.
