Toots Zynsky

Toots Zynsky earned her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design then went to Seattle to study with Dale Chihuly at the Pilchuck Glass School. Since then, she has returned to Pilchuck as a teacher. Zynsky creates work in a technique that is uniquely her own, she fuses her pieces out of thousands of glass threads which are pulled out of heated glass rods. She then fuses and coaxes her pliable "glass canvas" into its ultimate vessel form.
