Hi David seems like a fair price, I love cars from the 70's I personally have owned a Triumph Herald a BMW 2002 a Rover P5B Coupe a BMW CSI and my beloved Triumph Vitesse Mk2 convertible, unfortunately due to a cataclysmic illness in 2006 I am no longer able to drive, but I can look and reminisce and still enjoy classic cars, thank you for a great video, Cheers Mike
My uncle Chris Rau used to have the exact same VW but the only difference is the steering wheel and everything was on the left side U.S. Version. He passed away in 2-12-2022 and when he passed away his wife had the VW crushed
Would I want it? Nope - about two sizes too small, right hand drive and a Standard. You'd have to pay me to take it away. A Vdub addict would love it as it sits.
What a nice project. A good service, new muffler and your back on the road. I don't think it would take much, to take it to another level

I had a 1971 Super Beetle in this same color but a U.S. model. I destroyed it, sadly, in a rollover crash on a freeway in 1978.

The only issue I have with polishing it is it’s going to make the really bad paintwork look really really bad.
