- On Karnataka’s Job Reservation Bill for locals, businessmen in the state present criticizing views. Former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Infosys, said that he failed to understand what is the government trying to achieve. Various business persons reached platform ‘X’ to present their views in contrast to the Government. IT Minister of Karnataka, Priyank Kharge said, “The bill has been brought in by the labour department. They are yet to consult with the industry, the Minister of Industry and the Department of Information Technology. I am sure that before coming up with the rules of the bill, they will have due consultations with the respective ministries and more importantly, a wider consultation with the industry. So there is no need to panic. We are going to safeguard the jobs for the state as well as encourage investments in the industries with their consultation.” Karnataka Labor Minister Santosh S Lad said, "At management (level), it has been decided to provide reservation to 50% of the people. At the non-management level, it has been decided to provide work to 70%...If such skills are not available, people can be outsourced and they can be given work here. But the Government is trying to bring in a law to give preference to locally available skills - if it is available here."

Look HYD and MADRAS(smaller than hyderabads because of telugu people getting more IT jobs) also have IT firms in them. HYD has the biggest amazon campus in the world. It has 3 well known IT parks. MNCs are in Bengaluru because of highest number of engineers are in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. JRD tata built IISc because of healthy weather for skills and development. That doesn't mean you will put 100% reservations in Private Institutions.
But think it's good, Karnataka should implement 100% reservations on Group B & A positions too.
Going a bit further I will say they shall put a cap on Graduation too and make Kannada compulsory. One who scored less than 60% in Kannada language will not get the job; as in coding, human resource & working in production line, Kannada poem & grammar are more important.
It will work wonders. 😉

Now its time to leave this country. I was the guy who wanted to do whatever i can contribute to this country. I have donated to the armed forces, unicef children programmes and regularly visit orphanges to help them. But at the end of all this, it comes to religion, cast, language. Instead of bringing the local masses to global standards, we are trying to change global standards to local standards. One thing the Government forgets, the IT sector is a service sector. They don't have machinery. They can easily move states and trust me, there are other states that are waiting for this opportunity. In the end people of Karnataka are not only going to end up unemployed, but would have to move to other states to look for jobs. Someone correctly said, you keep your reserved, we can take your deserved.

That's why in countries like US and CHINA , both being by far the biggest economic powerhouse, both having multi languages , in fact just below india is china and then US and they both are poles apart in ideologies, one is literally the biggest capitalist country and one is the strongest socialist as well as communist country
But in each of them , one language is universally spoken
Mandarin in china is spoken by 80% and english in the US is spoken by 80% again
That doesn't mean any culture or language in any of these became extinct, they preferred their nation rather than being insecure about their language going extinct. That's why many experts wants hindi to be universally accepted in our country as well because English isn't our own indian language whereas Hindi is spoken by more than 45% of the people, by far the most in the country.
2nd is bengali with a mere 8% .
In fact many parties from south or from the opposition for example CPI has literally written in their manifesto that if they came to power they'll make hindi and English compulsory in india

I was posted in Maharashtra and tried to learn the Marathi language. They were very cooperative people and because of that i learned enough to get up with them easily.
