A closed Valero Gas Station seems pretty rare. I thought that strip mall building looks vintage. In Oregon, we don't have Valero. I do actually remember seeing few Valero locations in California several years ago. Great video as always, TeknBolt!
@AndysRetailExploration Hey Andy, thanks so much for watching! You're right, it's not often that you see a closed Valero gas station. And yeah, the strip mall does have that vintage vibe, doesn't it? I didn't realize that Oregon doesn't have Valero, but it's cool that you've seen a few locations in California. By the way, if you pause the video at the beginning, you can actually see some of the old businesses that used to be there, like a pizzeria, tattoo shop, and a liquor store. That empty one that looked like the backrooms was actually the liquor store!
It's kind of eerie to see the stuff left behind in those places. Like you said, it's as if they just picked up and left. In a way it kind of reminds me of Chernobyl. The food store had some empty shelves, if it's still open it probably won't be for much longer. Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri, I totally agree with you, the comparison to Chernobyl is a good one it's like time just froze in place and everyone vanished. As for that grocery store, I was watching my video again and at if you pause at 4:01 theres a sign showing "store closing everything must go" Thanks so much for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Property tax is destroying the country. Why do we pay strangers large sums of money? They dont cut the grass or fix anything on the property. Property tax is eternal, making you a slave. That needs to end. A one time sales tax on residential property. Business is different.
It's not a mystery why it all closed down. Criminal activity ... the gas station was robbed a few times most likely. 2:17 look at the windows spray painted , windows busted ... criminal invaders created that wasteland.
That sound at 3:47 scared the crap out of me lmao
