It makes sense that the gods of different pantheons would be aspects of the same god, especially if their portfolios have nothing directly to do with their racial followers (ie specifically being "the god of elvendom"). I think it's especially prevalent with gods of nature ie sun, moon, forests and elements.
Man this takes me back. I did a campaign as a lost grunge in search of home ( red for the sake of comedy cause edge lords ) there was a specific section of our campaign where the group I was with spoke about who they worshipped, two had um… interesting ones and our dragon born worshiped only Tiamat…. Yeah it was combustible but hey😂 turns out my grunge… didn’t have any cause he didn’t know of deities. By nightfall while submerged in a lake, Eggo looked to the crescent moon in silent pray for a tomorrow filled with fortune. This deity founded my character amusing and so got a charisma check in, hit a twenty and boom, my guy now worships her cause it was never done before, henceforth Eggo became prince of perception
Already posted an earlier comment but it uhh kinda disappeared for me. Anyways I really liked that video gave me a lot of ideas for my knowledge cleric of Sehanine also sent it to my DM. I personally also think Gloomstalker Rangers would align nicely to Sehanine as well. Personally my cleric is living in a steampunk world in which the elves now lack behind in tech. And well she is the first elf to become a knowledge cleric in 450 years. Naturally she wants to make elves technologically superior again and travels therefore to find artificers and tech that can help her with that. So the elves may very well win their war against an alliance of Drow and Duergar!
I just started my first dnd campaign and our DM had us make goals and plot points for our characters stories we’d like to happen with no guarantee they will (“You can go big but you gotta earn it” is his favorite phrase) and I made my character as a Drow lunar sorcerer who is a chosen of eilistraee and hopefully (haven’t gotten this far yet in our campaign) will become the chosen of Sehanine and Selune after performing a great feat for them and becoming the “Arbiter of the Threefold Moon” and this video was what first put the idea in my head. Thanks for the great content and inspiration!
Thanks for the two videos on this goddess with great ideas! Would you please consider covering Cegilune too? She’s an obscure goddess of the moon, hags, and larvae; hardly any material on her outside of wikis. I’m running a Ghosts of Saltmarsh-based campaign with lots of homebrew but preserving certain Greyhawk elements such as pantheons. While Sehanine is the resident moon goddess with all the good traits you described, I’m having Cegilune present as a rival. I like the lycanthrope angle, it connects well with Granny Nightshade in the Dreadwood having many jackalwere minions. It would be interesting for Sehanine to offer redemption/rehab for them.
Great video! I like the ideas of the different phases of the moon for Clerical Orders. (10:02) Would you also include Raise Dead, Resurrection and True Resurrection as white necromancy?
I would say those are case by case basis, Sehanine is very much natural order goddess like the raven queen but she is also a goddess of chaos and trickery, so I can imagine she’d be okay with one soul slipping back into the material plane Once on a while xP
From what I read on the wiki so far is that Sehanine despises all shadow magic spells. So you may want to look into shadow magic to know which spells are off limit for sehanine's clerics .o.
Im currently running a homebrew campaign based in the forgotten realms, where Shar and Umberlee are conspiring to encroach on Selunes Portfolios of Ebb&Flow and Navigation. Could you do a video on one of these 2? Would help me a lot to flesh things out :)
Could you do videos on her divine friends Aedrie Faenya and Hanalil Celanil, with whom she makes up Angharradh? There seems to be no major video on either of them on youtube at all so far.
i know this vid is made a few months ago i just want to clarify something about race gods and like gods in general... why is there an elven god for death in their pantheon when there is another god of death in general? Sehanine and Kelemvor.. like they both have the portfolio of death and im new to dnd in general but im so interested in learning more about the lore of this world thanks!
I’m of the thought that Kelemvor is the human god of death whereas Sehanine is the elven god, I don’t think all the races would all worship the same gods due to them having different cultures but I could work different depending on the DM

Your videos are so underrated. Keep up the great work
Thank you xP and every view and like helps us get to the big leagues so thank you so much

Thanks! And I’ve looked at Cegilune before and have wanted to use her as a hag goddess for sometime xP I’ll see if I can get to her sometime soon
Love your videos but I don’t see people praising the art enough!! It’s really good!
thank you so much! i really appreciate that :)
Second time watching through, such a great resource!
Thank you this really helped with my grave cleric!
Awesome!

I’ll add em to the list :) I always let people vote whenever I finish up a video so I’ll help putting them on future polls
Would you be willing to look into kas the bloody handed? I know about him from the sword but I can't find anything else.

This is a completely biased request; however, could you do an Eldritch Knight class? Or a Blink Dog animal?
I shall add them to the list :)
@@itslegendlore Awesome, thank you. I am sure you have tons of request, if I could afford to be a patron I would. I am just a peasant lol.
@@joshuarogue9345 oh Lordy I don’t even have a Patreon up right now but your presence and enjoyment of content is all support I can appreciate :)
Yo can you do a Nerull video next
