A Strong Family Story: Betty

Jake Barreth, COO of The Global Orphan Project, shares Betty's story-a mother of five who fled an abusive relationship to live with her parents. Though she knew it was the right decision, Betty felt unwelcome in her new home. The local church recognized her struggle and invited her to a Strong Family meeting. There, Betty discovered a supportive community. With her Strong Family group, she learned about hygiene, health, gardening to feed her family, and childcare. Today, Betty stands taller. She volunteers at the church, nurtures her children, and belongs to a loving community. Her dreams are becoming reality, and most significantly, her dignity has been restored.
