This skip works on all versions of the game. The last patch of bloodborne was around 5 years ago. This video was made on the current patch. So unless there is a remaster or something this will always work. Hope that helps. ♥

I'd like to add something. You can tell whether the wolf is doing the Grab or the bite by looking at its arms. If they're infront of its face, it's the bite. If they're above its head, it's the grab.

One note: visiting the forbidden woods early seems to make Eileen's questline unavailable (couldn't find her at her sewers or chapel spawnpoints, I did not kill Rom or any other FW bosses, just ran around and got beast roar and some other loot). If you're doing the skip for speedrun purposes then obviously this doesn't matter, but if you just wanna visit the woods for loot and lulz at the beginning of a new game then know you won't be able to do Eileen until NG+.

@2 bBrains All starting classes work if you have full health to start with. In later new game cycles you'll need more than base health to survive. hope that helps 👍
I come to this video once in a while because I make months long pauses from the game and don't always need to skip. So this is a good reminder where to position myself every time. Thx

as someone who killed the beast already, i tried getting the two beasts from the bridge all the way to the gate but they stop following me as soon as i get near the gate next to the the fat blade dude :(
Just tried this for an hourrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr fuck my life idk what im doing wrong the 20% of the time he does grab me against the fence (standing still facing it) he pulls me backwards but it hasn't been patched

Thats the point of running the way the creator tells you to, it pretty much baits the ai into doing the grab the vast majority of the time.

Here is a tip to people trying this. When it grabs you don't move the joy stick.
Ofc after I get it to trigger 15 times in a row thats the one thing I was missing
After three attempts to grab me in the middle of the door, I tried to move the joystick towards the door and it worked, so what you say is a lie

I've pulled this off through blind luck a time or two, but this made it super simple. Took me two tries to finish, great work on the video.

So far trying it....my Wolfie keeps getting stuck in level geometry and a few times clipped thru the floor entirely....
