The stormtroopers of han and luke don't have black hips anymore and have entirely new printing for there bodies and it's a new r2-d2 with back printing and c3-p0 has completely new printing except for the eyes.
These sets look really cool. The detail on the trench run especially is great. They're probably not something that I would get due to room to accommodate them and, although not very expensive, they don't seem like great value. Think I'd rather use the space I have for one larger set. Still, great video and I'm sure these will be sets that I'm tempted by whenever I see them in stores!
I think these sets are really well done but yes the prices are crazyy. My favorite is probably Dagobah and second is Trash compactor. The trash compactor might be a really good investment set to get, the trench run too probably, but again the price is a lil too much so idk if I’ll even do that
Personally I think the best is Death Star run then the dagobah is a very close second but the trash compactor altho the 6 minfigs it’s the worst by far
The prices are ridiculous and clearly show Lego have no problem giving two fingers to SW fans. 90 dollars for that thrash compactor is a joke. I taught Jabbas palace was gonna be the most overpriced set this year, I was wrong. These are all overpriced and Lego is once again taking advantage of SW fans they know will pay it. Most of the pieces in these sets are tiny yet we are paying through the nose for them. I don’t deny they are cool but this is a clear “we don’t care about you” from Lego anyone who sees these sets as anything other than greed needs to have a word. Lego thinks a fancy black box gives them the right to charge 10-20 bucks more for a set with pieces that are used in thousands of other sets ! Ridiculous
The other two are reasonable but yeah I will never get the trash compactor way to over priced way to small and BY FAR the worst of the 3 like Death Star run (7.5-8/10) my favorite tho Dagobah hut (8.5-9/10) Trash compactor (2/10)
FYI the Dagobah set is $79.99 USD. LEGO knows what they are doing by designing these sets towards the adult collectors group and pricing them slightly higher at a collectible price, but you also need to consider the price of petrol has risen recently so they may be adjusting for that increase in raw materials and transportation costs. I was hesitant getting all three sets, but justified the Trash Compactor set with LEGO VIP Rewards points I had already accumulated, plus I'm a Star Wars fan, and like you said, "getting minifigures is a win", so I saw no regrets.
Being someone that did not do legos until this year, wife bought me Batman cowl for Christmas, I have been hooked to these styles of legos. I will be picking these up for sure.
5:43 having mini figures doesn't "obviously" make it more expensive. it costs them just as much to make a figure as a regular printed piece. mini figures cost lego dirt to make and supposedly add $30 of "value" cool sets though
These are fantastic. Like most fantastic eye catching sets too rich for my blood. However it makes me hopeful this is the direction more sets will go. More dioramas and polished bases. I would love to see other themes do this.
I genuinely don't see why there would need to be minifigures in the trench run it's the vehicles that are integral to that scene, r2 and 3po are not hidden away per se, the area they're in does actually look like the console they were at during that scene so imo had they added minifigures to the trench run they'd have needed to build some representation of the cockpits
I can’t understand why people are complaining about the Trench Run set not having any minifigures…. It’s obviously a micro-scale build, so it wouldn’t fit if they included minifigures. Many people say they could have the minifigures on seperate stands, but that would just look out of place, as the point of diorama sets is to just one single display piece Also, not including minifigures, doesn’t make a set worse. I bought the Colosseum set a couple of months ago, and I’ve gotta say, it’s definetely my favorite set. I also really want the Titanic set.
The Trench Run is the only one that interests me, but they're so expensive I won't be picking them up. I think the Jurassic Park display set is much more fairly priced
hoping these show up in Costco for a $20 discount. Very few people have mentioned the Dagobah scene X-Wing is built wrong. They are only showing the top wing and not showing the bottom wing. On Landing the wings stack so there should be a lower wing as well in that scene.
Would have been amazing to get a Dianoga mini fig in that trash compactor. These sets are all awesome though. LEGO definitely going after adult builders here.
If you look at Yoda's hut from 2018 (75208), same minifigures and printing than the newer one (75330). If you have that set already, save your money and build yourself a MOC for cheaper!
At $ .46 a brick, the Trench set with 665 pcs item is $305.90, the Trash Compactor set with 802 pcs is $368.92, and the Dagobah Jedi training set with 1000 pcs is $460 even. All of these are without tax.
Thanks pal just pre ordered my Trench run from the official Lego website! Tbh I preferred the other pictures of this set earlier in the year with just the one X Wing fighter. But heyo it is what it is.
The issue with the trench run is scale (and having no minifigures). I mean R2D2 is represented on the X wing with a printed round 1x, but then on all the Tie fighters including Vaders the front section of the fighter is represented by the same size round 1x but this time with printing showing the cockpit. ALL the Tie fighters should have been bigger. I mean the cockpit window of a Tie should be something like 1.5m diameter, whereas R2D2’s dome is less than half a metre diameter (think it’s something like 462mm). So R2’s dome as represented by a 1x round tile means the Tie Fighter cockpits should be represented by a 3x round tile surely? And so the Tie fighters including Vader’s should be three times bigger…and hence the x wing should also be bigger.
I was really hoping the trench run was going to be bigger diorama. I do like the detail but it doesn’t have the awe factor. The other two sets I will be purchasing for sure.
I agree, the sets look great and the detail for the size is awesome. But I think $10+ price reduction and they would sell a lot more. Plus they all do need mini figures for sure.
I haven't bought star wars sets since the 1999-2000 series, but I might have to think about these. The trench run and Dagobah sets look awesome! I like that they're display sets rather than the giant ships star wars usually gets. But that's a hard pass on the trash compactor for me.
Agreed, they are expensive, but that’s the way it’s going to be with the price of oil and gas increasing which is used to make plastic and transport it. 😕
Hey Bricksie. Thanks again for posting your videos and sharing your thoughts. I have come to really look forward with the information you share. I’m with you, I think these are on the expensive side. Each of those could be $10 less and that would make them reasonable I think. Not sure I’ll be getting into these, although they would look awesome next to each other on a shelf. Will have to wait and see. Cheers.
Love the trash compactor and the Dagobah scene. They feel overpriced, but I guess they are kind of in line with current set pricing. At least it's not a 4 figure 166 pc set for $30...
Definitely geared (and priced) for the SW Collector! Gotta love the details on the droids...R2 with back printing...finally! Was hoping C-3PO, while great with arm printing, doesn;t yet have dual molded legs...though hear this upgrade is rumoured for the rumoured UCS Landspeeder...a week later
For me, the trench run is a definite pass and I agree as it lacks that pop without mini figures. The Trash Compactor looks the most interesting especially with the moving walls but I worry that you'll have to take the walls off and manually move them yourself instead of a sliding mechanic via a small technic piece that you can either push in or pull out. The Jedi training looks interesting as well especially with Jedi training Luke and the detail of the gunk on R2-D2's mini fig. Out of the three, it's a toss up between the trash compactor and the Jedi training if I get any of them. One question though, can you tell if those front pieces with the LEGO Star Wars logo and the quote are printed? Anyway, these look like solid reveals but I would've held these off until May 4th. Great video and most likely I'll wait for your review of any or all of these three first since the Horizon Tallneck comes out around the same time. 👍😃
Hey Bricksie thanks for the videos and yeah I am thinking along the same lines, all these sets are way over priced and even more so here in NZ $100 for trench run, $140 for Dagobah, and a laughable $160!!!! for the trash compactor. I might get Dagobah if it goes on a good sale but thats about it
They look so cool but my gosh are they expensive! If it were up to me, I'd probably only give this around $10-15 or maybe even 20 if you really wanna stretch is. $60+ is just too much even for something so beautiful
I preordered the dagobah and trench run. I am hesitant on the trash compactor because I think it is overpriced. I will probably end up getting it at some point though
Honestly I want all three, I want the minifigures, because I'm starting out collecting SW I want minifigures 😄. The trash compacter however I'd only be getting basically 2 new ones, besides different versions of Laia, Han, and luke. I see parts, but is it worth it to get, build them part out after a bit. 🤔 I know I really like the other 2 builds, and would keep them built.
Wow they look great, but wow they are expensive!! Especially considering how many small pieces. Feels priced like an architecture set. Will still buy 🤑
Really excited for these as a fan of architecture set this has really excited especially the trench run. The diorama theme has lots of potential with these and the Jurassic Park one Really excited to see what they do. Is price a little high sure but that's just lofe these days it seems
Dame your right kinda expensive, and seeing that most LEGO starwars fans have all these minifigs already, the only “piece” I like is the printed round tile for R2. Good for display, but I’ll be passing(LEGO has so many other great sets this year)
Hello, I have a question that does LEGO also need to take approval for making any military vehicles and any other public monument like Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal etc. from the respective nation?
I feel like I might just buy the Dagobah set. I like the trash compactor, but this time $90 just doesn’t seem worth it for that simple of a set. I might get the Death Star run too, but not rn
These sets look cool, but like the Vader Meditation chamber, they are cash grab sets. Nice packaging for the adult collector. Too high a price point for anyone else.
I think all of them are overpriced, but I think the Dagobah Jedi Training and Trench Run sets are acceptable. The Trash Compactor, however, is just ridiculous…
Lego itself is expensive. But these sets are all the more expensive I have to agree. Why little pieces of plastic should cost so much is because people are willing to pay for it and so Lego goes on with this. If you compare the cost of let's say mini figures to micro machine cars I would say the value for money for what your getting in terms of how much it costs to make and material costs that Lego are laughing all the way to the bank.
My favorite set among the three is definitely Dagobah. But these 18+ sets are so overpriced, just like the vader meditation chamber although I still bought it
They are cool and all... BUT it's not for me! I really like the Jurassic Park diarama with the T-rex and might get that. Maybe it's just me not wanna go into SW Lego xD
For what these sets are going to cost in Australia (starting at $89 minimum for the trench run)... I'll pass. Also, I prefer the Dagobah scene my wife and I MOC'd and displayed.
It's got to be the license from Disney. They've got really money hungry these last few years By contrast Creator Expert isn't too bad. Among the early sets in the theme only the Vestas Wind Turbine was overpriced IMO. But my opinions are a bit skewed because I can afford it

These sets are so cool! They'll make great displays sets! Thanks for showing them!
These look amazing. thank you for sharing.
awesome video jordan the new lego star wars look amazing lots of great detail
Same minifigs from the Dagobah Diorama were in a set from a couple years ago named Yoda’s Hut

might bet the Yoda hut and trash compactor for the brown pieces but is a bit expensive
