Trieu Mai knows her customers. If they want weevils, she’ll find them, and they sold pretty fast. I hear they taste like popcorn if you deep fry them. Not really my cup of tea, but congratulations on a good market day. I love how excited all the animals get at food time.

When people need to survive on preserved food, (or need to preserve food in order to survive) sooner or later, they’ll acquire the taste for it and it becomes “normal” food. I grew up in Asia and ate things as a child I will never eat now.
I grew up in Japan and ate some bizarre things, my mother is Japanese though so I still eat them😅. You forgot the 1000 year eggs in China😉. It’s one of the only few I know🤭. Most I didn’t know, that was interesting, thanks for the lesson!💗
