@@ColinMcGinn973The game has two kits for each weapon right now. A kit is a set of sub and special weapons, So for each weapon you'll have two choices for which set of sub and special you want to use.
Splatoon 1 and 2 both had three kits per weapon by the time the game wrapped up with updates, but people were considering that sense of splatoon. 3. Has the most weapon classes of any splatoon game, and they added a new weapon to each existing class, there would only be two kits by the time the game reaches its end of life.
@@ColinMcGinn973 in Splatoon there are weapon kits you can choose from, which are made of a main weapon and sub weapon and special attack. As there are many weapons in the game but each has only two different kits, fans wanted a 3rd one for the weapons

Something tells me the spin-off will be focused around crafting and resource gathering. The robot assistant feels like it’ll be used to store materials in. Though I think it’ll be more similar to something like Subnautica rather than Minecraft (though on land rather than in the ocean, for obvious reasons lol).
The title “Raiders” also suggests you’ll be hunting for treasures, which would fit well with the resource gathering theme. So you’ll gather resources, to craft stuff that allow you to explore further and deeper, finding treasure which unlocks further big upgrades, and there’s your gameplay loop. How they’ll marry that with Splatoon mechanics is gonna be the interesting part

Edit: People are theorising in the replies, so here's my theory:
They're holding the new game off for the September Direct (possible development problems and/or the Direct was getting too loaded, the latter one i doubt is true but it is a possibility) and that's why they're announcing it now without a release date
Since this wasn’t in a direct … they have something even bigger than this to showcase. The last 3D Mario was 2017. I do think 3D Mario is next for announcements.

4:00 So they finally recognized their matchmaking problems... and only took 3 years... It looks like players like ProChara needed to show this aspect by starting fresh and cause a system error because his skill is so good to make the system crash and kick him off of the battles... so that means that those flags on the weapon (only visible on Turf War) were only for decoration
The ending of a splatoon game like this usually is the test for the standard in the next game so here's hoping Splatoon 4 starts with the improvements

@@cayke.Yeah, that were the use for that scale, but apparently is more cosmetic than being part of an evaluation for your skill and use this a reference for a Matchmaking... that probably explains why it raise a lot with the wins and decrease slowly on the loses
@@lightdarksoul2097Not at all, considering that finding the response for Chara's video reference I noticed that this matchmaking problems was caused because they removed a important thing Splatoon 2 has, and was to making these catalog system which means "a season you don't play, your tier will be reset to 0" unlike to downgrade your rank because your lack of skill.m, and considering that the game has a competitive base, this aspect is a big problem, and could be a serious downgrade, even if they improve other aspects of the game.

Sounds like Splatoon 3 is gonna continue to be supported even on the new console. So that might mean a new mainline Splatoon game isn't coming anytime soon.
The number of new weapons being introduced in the update is almost overwhelming (in a good way). I gotta get back into the swing of things, I haven't played in well over a month.
I look forward to learning more about this spinoff game. Hopefully it won't deviate too much from Splatoon's core gameplay.

Yeah, this is likely to come to 4 but never 3. Splatoon is a console-exclusive esport - the playing field should be as level as possible. (For the same reason, mouse will never be added to 3, but there is _no_ world it isn't on 4.)
