Same, although I still feed those who come to my backyard I don't keep them. They are likely to be long term lost, abandoned or feral because they aren't close to humans and they enjoy their outdoor time. Lots of cats are abandoned here after co. They don't mind me feeding them and sunbathing with me tho, just not my family members nor my neighbours. When I asked for help from a charity (I'm financially struggling as well) I got rejected. They told me they aren't feeding stray or feral unless I catch them and send them to their charity. So I decided not to reply to them and I received an angry message from them saying I have to bring them to them. Their shelter is full anyway, God knows what they're going to do with them if I did.

I agree with you that once upon a time it was a great convenience to know exactly how much things cost inside dollar tree. Whether it was $1 each or $1.25 each, at least you could add it up and get a rough total. Not anymore, it's a guessing game with now more stuff left behind at the register.

I usually buy the $1.25 ones. The scents and the quality of the body washes are great, and the matching shampoos are also fantastic. My hair is so shiny and beautiful. Both are better than the high priced items found in other stores. The boxes of store brand tissues are another great buy.

For those who buy the cheaper dry foods like Meow Mix and Friskies... As Dan noted, the Meow Mix 3.15lb bag is $6, which is about 20 to 40 cents less than most grocery stores. And the 6.3lb bags are $12.xx. So both are $2/lb. The grocery store I go to used to have the 6.3lb ones BOGO every so often. But then I checked walmart and saw that they sold the 30lb bags of Meow Mix for $29.xx, so just under $1/lb. I kept the last 5 6.3lb bags from when I bought them BOGO and just refill those bags with a 30lb bag. I use chip bag clips to keep them closed and fresh. I feed 4 stray cats, so one 30lb bag lasts a pretty long time, but I still keep 2 or 3 on hand in case a shortage happens in my area...

Some enterprising person should open a new Dollar Store. I love that Dollar Tree has more variety and better quality items with the $1.25 prices, but all these other prices are absolutely crazy, and have now gone to Dollar General and Family Dollar for some of the same items for less because they will only charge $1.00. They are about to lose this faithful shopper I fear. Also, I'm really tired of going into the store and leaving early every time due to none of them running their air conditioners and in the south the stores get too warm to be in with no air circulating, so our shopping is always cut short. Being I recently worked there, I can tell you most employees don't take pride in putting things where they go. Dollar tree doesn't pay their employees very much and expects a lot. They even now took away the bells at the front counter. Yet still expect you to run a register all while putting out 28 boxes an hour. Then customers get mad cuz the cashier doesn't know they are there. They basically have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Our store manager was told she would have 2 full time managers along with 2 part time. Then was told oh no you only get 1 full time and 2 part time. So when shopping there, I would keep my expectations low. The company basically keeps all stores under staffed on purpose. I worked as a manager for several weeks without ever getting a pay increase and was expected to open and close but they never gave me keys yet. So the store manager would come unlock in the morning and lock up before the store closed. I still shop there, but I'm just saying don't expect much. And yes they are starting to put stickers on everything as people are getting confused. I would say before the end of next year everything will probably have one. I would say the one exception would probably be the vendor items. Such as name brand soda and drinks owned by Pepsi and coke and any chips that are name brand. Frito lay being the main one.

My dollar tree has Badia brand sale and vinegar powdered seasoning. Same as the taste would get on chips or pork rinds.

The price increases aren’t worth the trip anymore imho. I can get the same thing for only a few cents more at Walmart. As for the seasonal stuff, I did get the ornament picks for $1.25 but if those prices go up as well, I might as well shop where I had before DT. Now they’re just becoming another Family Dollar/Dollar General. Seems like it’s just a matter of time.

Prices at dollar tree are becoming confusing because the $1.25 products are mixed with higher price products. Maybe if they could separate them by location it might be easier.

I am happy pet stuff is there but most of it is pricey. My DT no longer had their bread . Not paying 3 bucks for a loaf even as a name brand. Also they had canned turkey for a deal 2.50 for two is better rhan 4 17 at walmart . Im in central FL.

Seems to me it would cost less to mark everything over 1.25 and not mark those that are 1.25. It is important to remember to check the quantity of things over $1.25. Some things are a good bargain if you research other places. I do that in store before I purchase over the 1.25.

I would like to know what the price is when I walk in, if i want a "cheap" store with different prices I'll go to Walmart or dollar general.
