I take BRE last day, my first raid on classic and drop that. I love that weapon!
I dont agree, i cant count how many times The PROCC saved my ass as a warrior with raggy :) The PROCC prevents them for bandage💪💪💪
You have a chance on hit to get your BRE proc, so at a 50% proc your first 6 hits do less than HOR. With a more realistic 25% proc which is still to high you are looking at 12 hits before you match HOR. So in PVP without a sword spec proc it is vastly inferior to HOR. It only becomes better after all 3 stacks have been applied and you get other procs.
Shawn Aloisio except youre still not calculating for the sword spec procs to crit, and chain off of windfury and hoj, even with out the procs you still have higher one shot potential than hor

@@Atacas while u are spamming hamstring the other warrior has gone multiple globals into their mortal strike whirlwind rotation and u are dead. I love bre but its not perfect for every situation.
@@Atacas Like don't get me wrong I ranked from 12 to 14 with a bre and it was great, I beat lots of hand of rag wars in 1v1s with it,I'm just saying that on paper hand of rag guy has the edge in a 1v1 imo. If we both getting healed then bre can pull ahead for sure since longer fight = more procs and obvs sword spec is bis.
Bonereaver's Edge shoulda glowed red rather than the dull black it has.....even a thicker black glow woulda been sick. Well explained! I got a bonereaver 2 weeks ago and ive done things to tanks and druids that hand of rag jus cant do. A as a sword spec warrior, i tear thru anu sundered target lol

not sure if this is correct but, why are you reducing the damage before adding the str modifier. It changes the numbers if you add the armor reduction first.
Chris Leung because the amount of strength you would be adding would be the same no matter the weapon, as im only talking about the difference between the two weapons, i did however add the strength from hand of rag to the damage of hand of rag
@@Atacas HoR (372*0.55) + 6 = 210.6 (what you said with armor reduction first)
HoR (372 + 6) * 0.55 = 207.9 (with str modifier first)
I'm talking about the str modifer on HoR. tell me if this matters. because to me the str modifer on the weapon happens first. in this case HoR is even worse? lol

Sunderarmor x5 Stacks = -2.250 armor
Bonereavers Edge fully stacked - 2100
2.250 + 2100 = 4350 armor.
NOW - Armor cannot go below 0 - that means
This means, BRE is only really good on sulfuron. Therefore your theory is bad.
Obsidian Destroyer (sword) with + 7 sword skills gives you more dmg

You’re wrong. BRE is an incredible (arguably the best) 2H weapon raid wise and pvp wise especially if you’re horde and have access to wind fury AND if you are sword spec. I can’t believe you used the words BRE ‘worthless’ and ‘not good’. Also WTF is Obsidian Destroyer? I think you mean Obsidian Edged Blade.. which is +8 not 7 to sword skill.
@@DroppinGobs he isn't wrong. I have BRE. Damage is lackluster on classic bosses vs private server bosses as classic bosses have 3700 armor. After sunders, fearie fire and reck there is no more armor for it to take off. It's an absolute monster in PVP though with 3 stacks. Makes world pvp tons of fun with a priest friend.

This is a comforting video to watch the day after being given SOR as a warrior because they want me to switch to DPS. No one else in the guild wanted it so now I definitely know it was a throw away for our guild...
The fireball can crit but you will need to be buffed with something that gives you spell crit for it happens often. By default, warriors have 0% to crit a spell, like thunderclap BUT it can crit even without anything giving you spell crit, it will be just super rare. Spell dmg DOES increase the fireball dmg but is not worth unless you are a shaman, pally or a stupid boomkin.
I have both and BRE is barely better if you are Arms (especially if you are HORDE because of the WF+HoJ combo that will bring the orange hammer even closer to the BRE)but if you are 2h fury Rags is way better just because of the talents and the lack of the weapon spec.
I raided as arms, had to change because of the MS debuff but I believe that even if I change back to arms HoR will at least be equal if not outperforming the grey popsicle because of how much base dmg+world buffs+BWL/ZG gear increases your dmg output.
Really love your guides, keep it up! One thing btw, u should really make a guide for bis gear for arms pvp now that we have the ranking gear. I bet ppl need that.

This is underselling BRE. BRE is bis all vanilla for warriors. Even MoM is not as good. This calculation does not include gear, buffs, consumables, which all scale off BRE's increase, while other weapons only amount for the weapon dmg difference, white hit dps difference and stats on them.
Forgot to take into account the speed. If they had same exact top end but bre is 3.4 and HoR has 3.7 it will hit even harder. This is why HWL weps smack so so hard because they're 354 top end 3.8 speed. Also the buff is short lasting 10 seconds and watching videos it doesn't seem to be up much usually just 1 or 2 stack... but it's still better just due to the fact that its sword and sword spec > mace spec all day long. That's why back on pservers I took claymore of unholy might over severance or dark edge. Recently got ashkandi and would probably still use that over HoR just because double swing > 3 sec stun that is usually less because of diminishing returns right off the bat from charge intercept..
Example I have rivenspike that's 2.9 speed 1h axe that's 144 top end and frostbite 2.7 150 top end. You'd think that with 150 top end and the additional 15 str on frostbite and no stats on rivenspike it would have higher top end in the character sheet but it doesn't. Rivenstrike with the 144 and no str or ap at 2.9 speed has a few more dmg top end. In PvP this is a bid deal with at least white hits and sword procs imo even if they normalized it with abilities
All this theorycrafting is nice and all but let's just remember that they're both rare as fuck, so you'd probably just take whatever drops first.

If you have an enh sham in your guild just give Hand of rag to him and rez BRE for warrs.

u don't start the fight with 3 stacks of bre up. IMO bre is not that good when compared to weapons with more straight up dmg for 1v1, where it shines is when u are hitting multiple targets with whirlwind and sweepings trikes increasing your chance for procs.
its def miles ahead when it comes to aoe fights like snakes in MC, but HoR def smacks harder with 3.8 MS/WW bonks in pvp

The debuff for the BRE is not that important on pvp because it's so easy to be stunlocked as a warrior that it's hard to keep attacking all the time. Sames applies for a proc of the sword spec. If happens great but don't count on that. Burst dmg is the way. I can overpower with HoR a rogue for more than 1,7k self buffed with my Battleshout and them Bloodthirst (Not wasting my time changing spec for the stupid honor grind)for 600+ add an auto-attack there and my target is dead in a fraction of time. Not to mention how often the fireball triggers. In some fights that last than 15 secs I can have 2-4 fireballs on someone just by spamming hamstring.

As an orc the ability to optimize gear for only 6% hit has me doing more damage than our bre fury war. But i guess this is a PvP break down.
