I can see why people don’t like Joe Buck, he lacks excitement in some of his calls. But I like him. He lets the moment speak for itself. He doesn’t try to make some memorable call every time. I like that.
I just love the way he pauses and lets the noise of the crowd take over
Agreed
Mitchell…
The problem I have with him is when he drags out words like "it isssssss....caught" or "baaccckkk at the waaaalllll" and sometimes he's a little too low energy. I think he is not a good regular season announcer but in the postseason I actually like having him announce baseball games. He 100% does let the moment speak for himself and he conveys a seriousness that I quite like about postseason. I much prefer him in baseball over football. I wish he would show a little more energy like these highlights when big moments do happen tho
@@chrisrongey3065 I definitely understand that. Never thought about how his voice and style fits one sport but not another, that’s an interesting way of looking at it and I think you’re right.
I always get chills from that Minneapolis miracle one, you can hear the amazement from Buck
they need to keep Joe buck they need to put Joe buck in madden 23 and MLB the show 23
Too bad joe buck and troy aikman is not with Fox sports anymore
i wonder what ever happen to that saints CB after that game!?
is he still playing NOW or did he get silently shafted out of the league? for its mistakes like that one that cost players their entire career!
@@keronstewart9446 The one who missed the tackle on Diggs is named Marcus Williams, and he is on the Ravens now. Number 20 who you can see was also there is Ken Crawley who continued with the Saints but is now a free agent.
same
One thing you can't deny, He's gotten really good at letting the moment speak for itself.
Commentary is part of the moment
That's what I love about him
So you’re saying he is at his best when he is not talking.
@@blackscreen1810 depends on the moment
@@jacobh674 subtlety >
The Minneapolis Miracle call still gives me chills, I saw that on live TV and it was amazing. Great to know that Diggs is now on my team.
can’t believe i got to see that with my own eyes crazy that there’s gonna be 100 more crazy moments in our lifetime that we can’t even predict or imagine footballs really the best game
He’s gotten so much better thank God, he’s now one of the greats
Nah
You listen here cito.... if I didn’t like your profile picture so much, I’d tell you how crazy of a statement that was!
Lol Aroldis Chapman was on the receiving end of a lot of those HRs😂
The one where Brantley doubles up hicks and judge will always be one of the greatest, most hype moments ill ever see.
In my opinion, Joe Buck is currently at his peak with ESPN. Enthusiasm beginning in the 2010s has only gotten better in the 2020s.
Plus this man can beat anyone in a roasting battle.
He had a great call on Rasul Douglas' game sealing INT against Arizona this season
Chapman fans turning this off early. 😂
i felt that🤣
Facts
“ALTUVE!!!!!” Chills every time
I like the one where Jose Altuve sends the Astros to their doom against the greatest sports team of all time, the 2019 Washington Nationals.
I think you the worst sports team all time, the 2019 Washington nationals
@@Plainrock-xo7il it’s cute that you’re impersonating a popular RUclipsr
I beg to differ. Compared to how they stacked up and dominated the rest of their respective league I think the 2019 LSU tigers were better.
@@Plainrock-xo7il One of the worst sports teams of all time would win a World Series, don’t you think? (Royals fan btw)
I always liked Joe Buck but I never realized how bad his NFL calls use to be probably because I was wrapped in the games and the fact that he is so monotone at times. He has gotten WAAAYYYYY BETTER than he use to be before the 2010 really since 2015
That Ortiz grand slam is cemented in my mind - the cop with his arms raised in celebration next to Torii Hunter’s legs in the air while Joe Buck screams “TIE GAME”…chills
Joe's gotten a lot better recently
Less booze.
Super Bowl 51, OT: "Heeee'S IN!!!!! PAYTIOTS WIN!!!!" def needed to be here
his call of Mark McGwire’s 70th HR is his best call of all time
Chapman just stand there pissy af everytime he gives up a big homer 😂
Don't care what anyone says, Joe Buck is really good at commentating and allowing the viewers at home to absorb the sound of the crowd as if you were at the game.
Thats an excuse for being a bad caster let me go out there talk all montone say a few words and then say nothing at all
@@bobfaget100 trust bro if he was talking non stop it would be annoying as a viewer
as a outfielder it feels just as good to hit a walk off as it does to lay out and catch a ball, then hose the runner at 1st to end the inning!
There are times where he’s been completely emotionless. But through the years you can hear more excitement from him. Compare early 2000’s to the last 5 years. Big difference. And he lets the moments happen without unnecessary blabber (usually). But don’t get me wrong, every time he gets excited to yell no flags, I just pound my head
1:48 F in the chat for Torii Hunter
World Series 2020 Game 4 walk off
Matt Stairs rips one deep into the night...that's definitely one of his best calls, can't believe it's not in here!
Mitchell....Mitchell.....MITCHELL....
Joe Buck is a legend
That papi at bat is 1 of few instances that walking him with bases loaded there would’ve made a lot of Sense
I love hear Joe buck💪💪
I’m gonna have to say his best calls were the Rajai Davis homer in game 7 of the WS and then the Cubs winning in extra innings is his best (either that or the Minneapolis miracle)
Damn you, David Tyrie!!!!
Forgot how good that Boston/St.Louis series was.
people say his commentary is too boring but i really like it
I literally collapsed and burst into tears the second Altuve hit the ball aganist Chapman 😭
Joe buck be like: UNBELIEVABLE
One thing that still baffles me is there were people saying his call of Big Papi's grand slam was terrible???
Don’t know why people say he lacks excitement when most of these calls are full of it
that diggs call still gives me chills
Greatest ever. He needs to leave ESPN so we can have him do the WS again
I’ve always been a fan of “ortiz hits one to right field, we’ll see you later tonight.” Also the 2013 World Series had a walk-off interference call and a walk-off pickoff in back to back games.
Joe Buck Mike Breen, and Jim Nantz are my favorite commentators of all time!!!
Love Joe
Joe buck does great sports calls
I used to not like this man and I understand why people don’t like him but now I do since he likes to let the moment speak for itself and when it’s that great of a moment he’ll make a great call
Can I hear him say high fly ball to right just one more time
Joe bucks turns to camera
Smiles
Turns back to announcer
Hmmm, this can't be complete without Buck's descriptions of the curse-busting momennts: "Red Sox fans have longed to hear iit!" and "Bryant makes the play! And the Cubs have finally won it all!"
"Up in the air, center field, we will see you tomorrow night."
"Toss to White! He's in! Patriots win the Super Bowl!"
Aroldis Chapman disapproves of this video.
Joe Buck had a good call? Best moment of Joe Bucks career 2018 NLCS. Bob Uecker was in the booth completely scielent. Bob, and John Smoltz where jumping for joy. I know all baseball fans were excited for the time he kept his mouth shut.
Houston freakin owns the Yankees!
Chapman been getting cooked in the 9th with Joe Buck calling the game
The first one reminds me of the hit in the championship game against the Pedros that Bryce harper hit to send them to the world series in the 8th inning
Joe Buck seems more excited about Baseball then NFL football lol
ngl the world series and the superbowl would not be the same without him
I seriously don’t get the hate he gets. He’s one of the best
I'm not a vikings fan but the best play was the Stefon Diggs td and DeSean Jackson td is next!
The Minneapolis merracle is probably my fav
so many game winners on/against chapman😭
Man that Altuve homer was crushed! It’s almost like he…knew…it…was…coming…
Known playoff choke artist Aroldis Chapman 😂
I can’t believe this video is 5 mins
Give him a lot of shit, and some of it is definitely warranted, but in all reality, he has a lot of great calls, and when he nails a call, he nails it
At 0:50, if you watch it it looks like Craig didn’t touch home plate. That and Diggs’ call are his best in each sport.
I will say Joe Buck is a FAR better Baseball commentator
your profile picture explains why the 2004 ALCS isn't in here lol
Aroldis Chapman is always giving up big home runs. 1:26 2:02
altuve hit that changeup almost like he knew it was coming
@@calqlated4506 Chapman didn’t even throw a changeup, that’s just how bad that slider was 😭
joe buck lacks excitement but i dont think anyone wouldve called the minneapolis miracle better than him💯
Missed “we will see you… tomorrow night”
i wonder what ever did happen to that saints CB from 3:59 anyways !?
for i haven't heard or seen anything from that guy since ever since he became the scapegoat for the Minneapolis Miracle!
All I can ever hear is Mitchell..... Mitchell..... Mitchell........
Joe Buck does MLB calls as well?!
I thought he just did NFL
1:33 Very sad from Aroldis he gave it all ge got
There are good calls that are exciting.... from this guy?
RIP David Tyree
what about Travia Ishikawa?
Unpopular opinion: Joe Buck is a great announcer
It was Paul Allen in the Minneapolis miracle
Look there are plenty of great calls in this vid and Buck can be a bit overhated, but the Tyree catch is still to me one of his worst calls. It’s one thing to “let the play speak for itself” but that’s one of the greatest catches ever in a game; you can still be analytical and get excited. He commented it like it was a routine slant.
U should’ve included when the Red Sox won the ws in 2013
One of the best. Fuck the haters
Ikr
that helmet catch still haunts me how lucky the whole play is
Buck is so much better at Baseball, his NFL calls are weak (besides the Minneapolis Miracle), but you can't hate his baseball calls.
I like Joe Buck more than most, mainly for nostalgia 😂 but you can tell what his picks are based on how he calls games 😂
Yeah, and that's not what an announcer is supposed to be.
@@ChrisWilson49ers I mean I can see how people don’t like that, but you’re asking a human that has followed sports his entire life to not have any emotion to either team, but also have great emotion in their calls.
@@noaheadie503 Yeah, I expect a minimal amount of professionalism from those who are in positions held by the best in their craft.
@@ChrisWilson49ers well then watch with the sound off idk what to tell you lol seems to work for the rest of America
Too bad he missed Buck’s greatest call of all time. 2011 WS game 6 11th inning David Freese walkoff
He said his fav was mn miracle
I never understand why people expect him to call with emotion every time..... He has the voice that enables him to become a great announcer even without emotions
It’s more about the monotone of his other calls like “pass ihhss caught” or “back at the wall”. There are plenty of times he’s generic or overly-unenthusiastic
I think Joe Buck is a great announcer. He has a great voice and lets the moment speak for itself. I hate announcers who have a annoying voice and unnecessarily scream into the mic. Gus Johnson is the only exception.
Where's "We will see you tomorrow night"
If you make a video with this title, it should last exactly 0:00.
This video should have been 0:00 long
We will see you tomorrow night?
He’s not on Fox anymore will he still call the World Series and nfc championship game
Edit no he will not sadly joe Davis is good tho
Cards rangers series love it
Vikings Saints is the best call
His baseball calls are way better than his football calls. He sometimes comes across so bored.
Most overhated announcer in sports. I miss him calling the World Series to be honest
Tbh he isn’t that bad anymore lol just had to find his groove
God I’m glad they fired the sound editor from 2015 and 2016, what the F is up with the echo during crucial MLB plays that sometimes does and does not appear on RUclips clips?
Too bad Joe buck and troy aikman is not on fox anymore
Need to give Joe Buck credit, he took the criticism directed at him earlier in his career to heart starting around 2013. He's gotten so much better at showing emotion and passion where needed, while letting many moments speak for themselves. His Minneapolis Miracle, Cubs WS, and Seahawks comeback calls are classics.
Yes sir
He's still terrible. What games are you watching?
@@mijkosnook7787 He listed his favorite games. Did you not read the comment?
He's still too bias and it shows. You named teams/games that either A. He had no interest in (Vikings/Saints) or B. Teams he likes (Cubs/Seahawks).
He's still crap with Big Ten Games, Anything with Philly in the name, and a plethora of other instances.
@@mijkosnook7787He literally said the games he watched. Are you dumb?
I still don’t understand why people hate Joe Buck so much. He’s becoming more emotional in his calls in the 2010s
Sports 311 yeah cuz his calls in the postseason are exciting
I’ve been hearing his voice for 17 years and he’s ok. He’s no Jim Nantz or al Micheals but he’s ok.
I absolutely LOVE Joe Buck................when he does baseball games. I still think he is a terrible NFL broadcaster though. He should really do MLB full time since he is so good at it.
@MambaMan 45 for me it depends on the game. If it's a high scoring game or game with a lot of drama like the Vikings vs Saints (both games), he has more emotion and make the game more enjoyable
He has the voice. hes my favorite
