I think its sad that these hospitals have all this money and dont give it to the dedicated staff nurses that are already on the frontlines everyday. I have talked to nurses who felt really under appreciated, knowingly working side by side a travel nurse that is doing the same thing as them, that was making 4x more than them. I applaud all of the hard working nurses in the world that do this everyday! Give these nurses bonuses they deserve and raises!! Periodt!

I agree, I have had staff nurses say they are struggling to get hazard pay for taking care of Covid patients. I do agree that nurses should be compensated for working with Covid patients and amidst the stress and chaos during that time. Alot of nurses are traumatized because of that experience. I guess hospitals will argue the don't pay travelers benefits so that's the trade off.

The risk is definitely worth it for me. Financially blessed. I pray everyday for my health and wellness. Largest check 13k lowest $5500 due to check error weekly. This is the absolute best year for the nurse

I agree this is a blessing in disguise for many🙂. I pray for your continued health as someone has to do it so the compensation is well deserved.

Great for you! I'm sending you positivity and hope it continues to go well. Do you have any suggestions for companies or recruiters? I only know of 2 companies paying high rates like that. I have been taking care of covid patients all this time at my FT and regret not taking advantage of the opportunities. I have met many travel nurses where I work and I just smh at myself. I will be PRN in a few days can't wait!
