lowercase21 fuck yea man! Same here! I think I first heard of this song on one of the tours they did when I was about 16 as well, now I’m about to be 28 and still enjoy this so be very much!
How in the heck does this have not nearly enough views?? This is such a favorite. Let's get these views up! Copeland is still a wonderful wonder. Let's get them more known again.. too many people influenced by them are more known than they are!
LYRICS You lose control when you hold too tight But turn your head long enough to let it bite 'Cause faith left me staring at the ceiling through the night, It's freaking me out And when I fell asleep it plagued my dreams, And thirty bits of glass had become my teeth, They were breaking each and every time I tried to speak, It's freaking me out. You're freaking me out, you're freaking me out And I could run like a coward for the door But I'll never get out, you're freaking me out. You lose your mind if you lose control It makes you feel ashamed for the hearts you stole And now your own heart's scared of an attack Cause you can't give them back You're stressing me out when you prove me wrong. You're wearing me out, cause I've slept so long You're freaking me out, you're freaking me out And I could run like a coward for the door But I'll never get out, you're freaking me out. Threw it all away, I threw it all And I threw it all away And the best part is not knowing just what I threw away I threw it all away. You're freaking me out, you're freaking me out And I could run like a coward for the door But I'll never get out, you're freaking me out. You're freaking me out, you're freaking me out But I keep running right back around for more, 'Cause I'm in love with my doubt, It's freaking me out.
this is one of those rare occasions were a beautiful voice is backed by a great band to create something that just makes you want to rip your own heart out to keep you from crying because it's so good.
I first heard this song when I was 16 while on a bus in Europe... I'm turning 33 this year and the lyrics still hit so right. Incredible voice and talent.
Legit just saw them in Austin three days ago. got to talk to Aaron, the lead guitarist, and Rae Cassidy (from You Are My Sunshine). It was a magical experience.
It makes me incredibly sad that they broke up, yes but, sometimes I think it was best the band was obiously going to go down hill and it would be horrible for them to end unhappy or for their music quailty to drop. I personally believe that Copeland was one of the greatest bands to ever walk on Earth.
@KyleeMeier Yep MA. Pandora has an excellent version of "Chin Up" that starts out acoustic. I love it! I can't find it anywhere though, it's different from the album version. I love that song though.
@suflokpldasdf i listen to Califonia every morning before class. But my favorites are between "Love Is A Fast song" and "Chin Up" but recently I've been listening to "Sleep" and "Love Affair" so those are like my four favorites at the moment...are you from the U.S. if so what state?
@Musicmonk84 I'm really not sure if you'd want me to reply to this or just leave it, both ways I might finish with something like "It's your own right to think, please never stop, I enjoy listening to them almost an much as anything else.Have a good night and goodbye." My apologies if you were not done conversing yet.
@suflokpldasdf Your welcome,I like more than the album version too...It was the very first song i had ever heard by Copeland and I instantly fell in love with it.:)
@Musicmonk84 Not like that but as in they were never really famous and that not everyone had a chance to love them , I'm saying that anyone who does actually appreicate their music is great, it makes them great.
i love aarons voice so much. its beauiful but i agree, it doesnt fit him. i love this song so much. "it makes you feel ashamed for the hearts you stole and now your own heart is scared of an attack cause you cant give them back." thats my favorite line (:
@KyleeMeier The "hm." was meant to mean that I'm thinking of what you said. To elaborate, I guess I didn't understand what you meant in your original comment. Now I have a better understanding. I didn't really have much to say in response.
@suflokpldasdf I feel super stupid at that fact I had to look up what MA stood for, I'm from Canada, B.C. actually.Ohh it's the demo your thinking of it's on the "Dressed Up & In Line" album, I bought it for my phone like a month ago on itunes:)
@KyleeMeier I feel you. But at least we all love them. When I played this video, this advertisement came on for another singer, and I was like wut du fuq this isn't Copeland! ;_;
Halfway through your comment when you called me a "pathetic person" I started crying, I'm sorry if I offended you and for me this isn't worth three comments of telling me I'm a corrupt person.Have a nice life and I hope you and your band go far.
I Apologize For I Am A Blunt Person And Speak Without Taking In Others Feelings And Thoughts, I Try To Improve But It Is Hard To Change Yourself Even For The Better. Knowing That You Go To College Changes A Lot, I had Assumed You Were In Highschool Or So And Just Planned On Making It Big. Please Tell Me If You Ever Plan To Play In British Columbia, I'd Be Interested In Seeing Your Band, Music Is Normally Well When The Band Is As Passionate As You Seem To Be.
I absolutely love this song, but imagine if somebody covered it well and changed the lyrics to "You're fucking me up" instead of "you're freaking me out." Epic idea
This is an awesome song my friends did a two person cover which I think they did really good. you should check it out and see what you think. jakebentley21
Haha Okay, I'll Make You The Deal That If You Ever Make It To Europe I'll Be Cheering You On, And Okay But Can I Call Shot Gun? Sounds Good To Me. And Yes But I am A Vegetarian And So Food Is Always Limited.
Played this album every night when I lived alone 15 years ago, helped me deal with my anxieties so much.
Such an underrated song from an underrated band. Idk how Copeland isn't more popular.
been listening to this song sense I was 16 now I'm 26 this is a great song!
lowercase21 fuck yea man! Same here! I think I first heard of this song on one of the tours they did when I was about 16 as well, now I’m about to be 28 and still enjoy this so be very much!

Bass players a monster. I love all his relative notes and walk ups.
My fav Copeland track. Love when the tambourine comes in for the last chorus. In my car singing the harmonies at the tops of my lungs lol
I find it amazing how this sound has aged SO well. It's timeless.
Copeland forever, their lyrics are so great and aaron's voice is amazing!
One of the greatest songs that I have ever heard in my life.
I haven't heard this music in almost ten years. What a pleasure to find it again.
10 years without Copeland sounds unimaginable.
日本人ですが学生時代とても聴いてました。
青春のバンドです。
it kills me how beatiful every single song they is and that very few people are actually great enough to love them.
How in the heck does this have not nearly enough views?? This is such a favorite. Let's get these views up! Copeland is still a wonderful wonder. Let's get them more known again.. too many people influenced by them are more known than they are!

How do you block a song on spotify. Damn this is a song I'd never want to hear again.
Haha Okay, I'll Make You The Deal That If You Ever Make It To Europe I'll Be Cheering You On, And Okay But Can I Call Shot Gun? Sounds Good To Me. And Yes But I am A Vegetarian And So Food Is Always Limited.
It doesn't seem that the voice fits the face.
Always thought Aaron looked like Michael Cera.
