A and S is one of the better LCS is one can visit in the tri-state area. My son calls them “iconic bookstore“. There are many different shops one can go to in New Jersey, but they are by far the nicest. You talked about the glasses on the wall you did not mention the venom or the Incredible Hulk, great wall Decour. They also have a little candy dish in the front with chocolate for kids, which makes it very welcoming for them. It’s a father-son team and anytime I am in Teaneck I have to stop by. And the best thing is they bring different books to a Clifton show that they keep in the store. And both are always priced fairly.
It's funny that you got your first double cover because I just got my first one which is Daredevil 165. I got it on Ebay but the crazy thing is it wasn't described as a double cover and you really can't tell from the photos. But when I opened up the package I saw it right away but couldn't believe my eyes. It was like hitting the lottery.
Great grabs! I love the concept of bringing a budget to spend and challenging yourself to spend all that money and track it’s profit. Thanks for bringing us along on that journey
I’ve done this to get a few $300 books but nothing this big! Whole process is a blast. If you keep getting deals like this you’ll be at that 5K goal in no time.
Cool video. Good luck with your 5k goal This is gonna be the first NYCC I’m gonna missed in years after my foot surgery can’t go. Had to sell my ticket
you should change your name to Cornflakes McPisser.. not to mention that taxes are much more complicated than that .. and you can't just make a "blanket percentage" when it's just one small piece of a greater puzzle . lol
@@RobertWeir didn't want to write a lengthy response on a topic that is obviously complicated. Taxes, in particular this year, is a thing. Try to keep up
Great idea
Looking forward to seeing how you do

Show us what that double cover gets in grade if you send it in. Looks sharp!
Nice Haul
Cool concept. But getting deals from people you know kinda defeats the purpose of the challenge.
It's honest that you tell how much you paid. Most keep the price to themselves.!
I like the idea, I'm working on something similar. Just missed you at Clifton, I was late picking up a silver & gold collection at a garage sale.
Hope you got some nice books Jim

Nice books - good luck at NYCC - thanks for all you do
thanks my friend. hope to see you soon
Flip mode!!! Little tougher these days to flip books but it’s more of a process now then the good old flip mode days.
absolutely profit margin isnt the same. Its one of the reasons i brought this back. Appreciate you watching

Heyyy...Jake and I were at the Clifton show. We got there when it first opened, and we looked for you. How did we miss you?
i dont know I was there til around 12
Nice stack! Do you have a grail in mind once you get the $5000 goal to purchase? Maybe a high grade silver surfer #4 😃
A X-Men #2 or early spidey come to mind
Don't forget the (approx.) 28% capital gains deduction to uncle Sam from sales profits on the road to $5k
