thanx Dave . I enjoyed this as a revisit to getting my German drivers license . as a truck driver in US Arrmy during 1979 to 1982 . that was a wonderful time to be in Germany . Kirchgoens and Butzbach . central Germany . we were all more innocent minded then and the bitter people were in the shadows . Long live the great German way of life . your US friends support you and admire you !
Hi, Dave. Ankündigungsbaken are 'count-down markers'. Bollards (in town) are Straßenpoller. We also have 'marker posts' (Markierungspfosten) in general, but especially on country roads.
What would happen if you parked somewhere and set your parking disk and came back later to adjust the parking disk to the new current time and left your car there longer?
what happens if i park in without parkschein 20 minutes before workday ends? should I pay all the time I'm going to be out or should I just pay the 20 minutes until the "werktag" ends?
With zebra crossings, is it 5m next to either side you are prohibited from parking? or just before or after only? i thought some place in my theory bits it said not 5m before it but you can park anywhere past it.
Hey Sandra! Depending on where you will be, prepare for quite some rotary / roundabout traffic. And lots of road signs everywhere, so be careful and extra focused! Enjoy your time in Germany! :)
