But all of them have been given the opportunity to join the parliamentary candidates to show their leadership and management skills they did for the people of their districts and that would be easier for all parties who did the great work together with their communities in order to get lots of votes from the people of South Africa. It doesn't help to make some noise while the leaders of tomorrow have nothing to worry about except the money from the parliament and after that all of them will just keep quiet.

Having watched the very inspirational Arte tv Documentary about Mayor Chris Pappas ( 32) of uMmgeni Municipality and his Deputy Mayor , Sandile Mnikathi ( 28) on RUclips, the DA is by far the most progressive, the most compassionate and the most experienced choice to take SA and the Multi Party Charter forward in 2024!!

The biggest question is whether the DA can deliver its services towards black dominated areas. We all know they don't do it at CPT where they have been governing for years.
I think it's more complicated than tht.
For one most black people in the western cape live in townships and townships rely on national funding through the rdp programme.
Second, these townships are completely cut off from any close amenities. In fact the townships tht saw the most funding were newly setup townships post '94 within reach of infrastructure.
Third, police aren't provincial and due to mismanagement is inefficient and severely lacking resources. This makes it difficult for the DA to crack down on crime even within suburbs which is why most people rely on private security or neighborhood watch.
Fourth, have you been to a township? The people there have no regard for how they live. There is no order and trash lies everywhere and it doesn't help tht birth rates are higher in townships adding to the burden.
Lastly, I just want to conclude tht I live in a black neighborhood and due to subleasing the area is overcrowded so roads require more maintenance and the water is always off due to the sewage system being overloaded. Most people here vote DA because despite the illegal subleasing the party still provides. The water will come back in a short time period. The roads will eventually be fixed as they did last year to the main road coming in.
I like the way these leader engaging each other on this discussing our important matters . They are unlike when they are at the parliament where they just scream at each other with discussing matters with respect. They are wasting our time at the parliament, our matters needs to discuss in public forums like this one. They should come back directly to the people to account
SABC I've watched both of these long form "debates" / interviews - and honestly - the lack of control over the audience ruines this whole piece. We aren't interested in the audiences enthusiasm, we are interested in what the leaders have to say and how they will address issues put forward by the audience.
