- A bear slowed traffic on a Southern California freeway before retreating back toward the nearby hills. The driver who captured the footage says the bear appeared to have just come out of hibernation and may have been "a little confused."

Yes. And that wall between the US and Mexico stops wildlife from being able to migrate back and forth like they need to do for survival. Just like dams have stopped Salmon from being able to travel upstream to spawn which has them banging their heads on the dam. There are twice as many people since 1970 and half as many wildlife. What people don't seem to get is that humans cannot live either without the environment that nature provides.

lol Bears are always so chill. They rarely look freaked out by anything. He was just casually trying to cross, decided it was going to be too much of a hassle in traffic and casually walked back. 😅
I used to live there and Santa Clarita is just outside Los Angeles seeing a bear is a very rare sighting. I am glad that they stopped for it.

America/California need more wildlife crossing for animals. I know there working a couple but are road systems have obliterated natural paths. Where are our Jetson cars already!?!

I spent my entire childhood hiking in the hills of Santa Clarita and I cannot believe there's a bear there.
