My third baby is a girl and we had so much trouble agreeing on a name. My husband liked Evelyn whereas I didn’t. I like Eva. One day close to the birth I said what about Evelina? That’s what we choose. We call her Eva. Though our toddler named her Baby Lina and that has kind of stuck
There is a polish name Ewelina 😊 not so common nowadays though

It’s interesting what comes to mind with some of the names! Just culturally what you associate them with. For example, Gemima is a character for a very popular maple syrup brand lol
Isabelle, Harper, Chloe, Violet and Matilda were on our list too. I loved Audrey, Madeleine, and Maeve. He liked Meadow but I just couldnt get behind it.
Madeleine is my name!! I don’t see a lot of people using that spelling
Madeleine was my middle name before I got married and dropped it for my maiden name, but I loved it so much!

We didn't know our baby girl's name when she was born. (She was early. Water broke at 30+6, she was born at 33+4) We had narrowed it down to Violet or Colette but it worked out that neither suited her. Her name is Quinn!

Here is a cool idea I wish I had thought of when baby naming, ask the baby's higher self what their name is, and see what comes up.
I have done this with 2 of our cats now, and the names are not what I would've come up with.

Lumi means snow in Finnish, so if you like Winter as a name but think it's too popular, Lumi woukd be a good compromise 😊❤ I also think English speakers would be reminded of words like "luminous" etc as well 😊 to me it sounds like a soft, bright name.
