It's the same from North Pakistan to South Pakistan first day is mehndi second day is the actual wedding nikkah and baraat groom takes his bride to his home and before he does the bride says farewell to her parents. Do participate in a Punjabi wedding if you ever get any chance, weddings do change from region to region like we usually have weddings for 3-4 days (normally 3), but it was interesting for me also to see a Northern wedding. Thank you for this video and your editing and storytelling was amazing.
@@MaryamNawazFans i am not saying our wedding is cultural or anything… yess weddings are shifting to modernization as everything else in Pakistan, like most of the weddings are night time now etc… But still wedding in punjab will still be different experience than Northern or Sindhi. Because even though it will not be as cultural as it was before, still there are some elements in every religion that they put in their weddings and events

The Pamirs of Tajikistan have many of the same customs as your people. The Pamirs of Tajikistan never had a chador, they wore headscarves. But during the wedding, the bride's face was covered and this tradition is still preserved. I wonder if the people of Hunza had such a tradition?
