It would be nice if there was an omsi setting where you can sit as a passenger and take in the scenery and listen to the engine whilst the bus drivers itself
I’m pretty sure you can. If you view the bus list and select one being driven by the AI, it should enable you to sit in the passenger view without taking control of the bus 😊. I’ve done it before, but not for many years.
I've never been so excited 😁 for the Renown, I hoping SP 🙏 will make a ADL Enviro 400 someday because they really know how to pack the list with so many varieties and specs as well 😊, the Enviro 400 could definitely make it to there list as the Enviro 400 has so many specs and varieties when it was made back in 2005 to 2015.
The Enviro 400 could do with a refurb maybe with a Hybrid or the rare MAN engined variants that are rumoured to exist, maybe the B7TL & B9TL variants (although the B7 would now have to be recorded from an ALX400, Wright, or Plaxton as there was only one and I don't think it survives), there was also the 8.3L C series power unit that was originally available with both Voith and ZF. I believe there is also one with a 4.5L ISB and a ZF Ecolife that was converted from a hybrid which would be interesting but sounds like it would be painfully slow to drive. I would go for something different that we haven't had yet as there is so much more that hasn't been done like a Palatine, President or anything from the Northern Counties/Plaxton range prior to ADL taking them over.
@@FM60260 Speaking of Northern Counties, there is one bus type I think would make an interesting DLC is the Northern Counties standard GM bus. I believe you could get them with Volvo, Dennis and Scania chassis but most were built on a Leyland chassis based on the Olympian but built as a GMPTE standard vehicle. I have seen loads of photos of them on the internet but I have never seen one in person. I don't know if any have survived but if there are any kept in museums in Manchester they probably won't be working examples because of the CAZ now in the area, which of course means there are probably no examples to record sounds from so alternative sounds would have to be sourced from a similar preserved bus.

I have seen people a couple of times in Bury board a bus to buy a S1 Bus & Tram ticket then immediately get off the bus and head for the Metrolink. I don't know why as the ticket machines aren't that hard to use and you can buy the same ticket on them, you just get it on a yellow card rather than thermal paper.

ruclips.net/video/g8yxDRWBnug/видео.html The B10s I remember all have this indicator sound instead (we do have B10BLEs, only 1 diesel though. The diesel one was knacked when I got a chance to board it, the CNGs being way newer all just have this sound when they were new. But so did all our B10M Mk 4 as well when they were new.) Here in Singapore, we only have that indicator sound on the Leyland Olympians and it as the low air pressure warning (which was a long constant beep) for the earlier B10M Mk4 and Volvo Olympians.
That's the one I have heard on pretty much all pre-2001 Volvos I have encountered, other than early B7TLs before changing to the clicky one which I assume might have been used on the B9TL, otherwise that dashboard would have become the shortest-lived dashboard ever as they would only have been produced 2005-2007. I have never been on a B9TL unfortunately, so I don't know what they have. I can't remember what indicator sound the Citybus had but I assume it was that one as the dashboard instrument panels were the same as on a B10BLE.

It’ll be even more difficult to make older vehicles the longer you wait.
Because older buses are way more interesting than the newer electric ones. No unique engine sounds and completely soul less
