I know how to build models and yet I watch these with great interest. They are very relaxing to watch for some reason. I'd love to see a similar series with new kit releases.
The video's are brilliant-they show what can be achieved with what is included with some basic tools and some basic techniques. I have bought this for my 12 yr old son who has progressed up from the starter sets. I have a couple of the gift sets in the stash, I will one day challenge myself to do a complete build with just what is included 😊 Thanks Airfix.
This video is very informative, well explained, has a welcoming feeling and is good to watch. It makes the model-making look like fun. I was an airfix fan as a kid , these videos make me want to start modelling again. Thanks!
@@paulgrooveside2803 Go for it! Lidl are getting cheap 1:72 Airfix kits in soon - £6.99 each. I'll be getting the Tiger tank and Sopwith Camel kits from Lidl myself. Buy some 6mm flat brushes from a pound shop and get buildin' (and painting) like a Pro!
I love watching these videos even though I’m never going to do it myself. I’ve done modelling and I’m done with it. I sill enjoy watching the process as a spectator. This videos are entertaining in their own right and I love the presenters slightly bland Liverpudlian voice. Very relaxing video to sit through strangely. Please do Cutty Sark, a favourite of mine.
This kit has been on my wish list for ages, just bought it and what should appear in my feed 😁👍 Interesting method as well, I think I might've been caught out without watching this. This should be very helpful, thanks Team Airfix 🙏🙌
Hi Airfix, have you considered whether the poly cement "glues" paint ok? Plastic doesn't stick to paint too well so is the Humbrol primer specially compatible? As a second question (I have one of these waitng to be built) have you considered modelling the landing gear in a drooping pose to be more realistic in an in flight pose, gear down in the same way as you put flats on the tyres? I wonder this beacause I am keen to model it in the hover about to land and a fully compressed gear isn't right for that.
I wonder why washing and dry brushing is missing from these videos. Actually all required tools and paint is present in the box and in a household and would elevate this model to a next level.
Can you (airfix) please get this and other similar aircraft. back in the range and give the spitfire a rest for a while.....i realise airfix are a british company and the spitfire is an iconic british aircraft but there IS such a thing as overdoing it and over kill.....btw i built this and its a great kit
@JonathanLundkvist agreed....now im sure a lot of modellers, esp those from the uk might take umbridge with my comment about Airfix over doing the Spitfire but the BF-109 is an iconic German aircraft and you don't see revell churning out the 109 to the same level
As a Brit, I see the Harrier in all its guises as an "iconic" British aircraft too. I tend to agree with you, though, that variety is the spice of life.

The level of learning and teaching in these videos from Airfix is very high😃
Cheers👍🏼🍻
Glad to hear that!
First kit i did after years of absence from modeling. Its a great kit!

Very cool! Got one of these in my stash, will build it someday.
I really wish there would be a flat brush included. That would help the new modeller greatly.
Looks like a decent kit I may invest in one
Its a great kit...built it myself

Just wondering : how many model sets does that primer spray cover would you say ?

If they want to make a British Aircraft few seem to bother with the British Aerospace BAe 146 would be a wonderful kit to build.
