I was especially moved when Avayah gave each of her siblings a gift to open. That demonstrated maturity in understanding that younger ones might feel left out and above all else it reflected her benevolent spiriit. You should be proud of them.

Her kids choose their own friends. You can’t make your kids have friends of any color. How immature of you to think that. So you were the “only black kid” and so what, does that mean you didn’t have any friends? You didn’t want to befriend white kids? Looks like you need to check yourself.

I am a 47 year old woman and I am here to say thank you from a foster care child so many years ago for the love and support you unconditionally have given! You're amazing and wonderful
Your videos are so touching, it makes people of color look at others in a different light and you are portraying every detail of that. i really appreciate this, not for myself but for the ignorance of the world. Your hair video of Eliyah made me cry. My mother has a day care center and the video made me think of a little chocolate girl who attends her school who has two Caucasian fathers and even though we don't go home with her at night, she's always so happy to see them when they pick her up. That right there let's me know that she is loved. so loved. some african american children don't get that love and support from their own biological parents so i commend you. keep supporting all of your children and encouraging them and never be ashamed to tell them who they are or where their culture comes from. It gives us African Americans strength. It's people like you that we need to change the world
