    Great video, thanks, Turi! I have King ancestors on both sides of my tree. Same with some other surnames like Taylor, Smith and White. Keep up your great work and thanks for sharing your findings.

    My dad and my surname is Micklethwaite and my mum's surname is Vandenberg :) my dad is English and my mom is German but I can't speak it.

      Micklethwaite., Thwaite., Postlethwaite and many more go back to the Influx of the Germanic Tribes - Into Britain example ; The Engls., Franks., Saxens., Frisians., and many many more ..the english language is a relatively 'new language' In comparison ..as the many Germanic languages go back well over two thousand years ..*..
