Standard soap and water work or there are specialized products like Rinza for cleaning components exposed to milk: www.wholelattelove.com/products/urnex-rinza-m61-acid-formula-milk-cleaning-tablets

Hey m, Use of vinegar is not recommended. It's a weak descaler compared to other products and can leave behind a vinegar taste which can be difficult to rinse out. In some machines it can damage internal seals. Best option is the manufacturers recommended product. In a pinch you can make your own descaler using powdered citric acid. That's what used in the majority of commercial descaling products. It's a stronger descaling agent and has no odor or flavor.
