As a Sydney supporter I'm sick of seeing them get to the Grand final and then get completely humiliated that's the second time John Longmire has fully under prepared the team leading into the biggest game when it happened against Geelong you could say it's a one-off but now seeing it happen again against Brisbane only a few years later is truly unacceptable & truly pathetic to be honest. They played like a bunch of gutless pea hearted cowards if we're going to call a spade a spade. They obviously learned absolutely NOTHING after the Geelong humiliation in the Grand final & they really need to get rid of John Longmire ASAP as Nothing will change unless you change the Coaching leadership and the losing culture in the big games.

What a day. Clinical performance by the Lions all around the ground and from the coaches box. Did not let Swans into the game. Swans were no match for the Lions pressure and defensive wall. So happy for Fages, the players, the club. Every player stood up. So many moments and stories. Zorko and Neale finally getting a premiership. Lester getting a flag. All the young guns. So many people counted the Lions out after the poor start and all those injuries. What a way to finish the year. Incredible achievement 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Swans, Geelong and Brisbane were the 3 teams that had Leg Speed this year. It had to be one of those Teams that Won the G.F.. Great come back this year by Brisbane, started slow, 13th at one stage, but I saw the quality and leg speed, great around the Stoppages and inside 50's. The Grand Final Win was no fluke. Happy for their Coach. He had a great game Plan and 1st time Winner. Crows Fan, Los Angeles.

This is Lions at their best, and when they put it all together. Some neutrals may not have enjoyed the game because it wasn’t a close contest, but I loved the Lions sheer dominance and power on display. Ex pat or international lover of the game? Excited for Crows 25 too.

Because the Swans are mentally fragile in Grand Finals. Brisbane were tougher and harder. The Lions will go on and probably win another one or two flags with this group of players.

I've never heard a commentator give a flatter call of a GF final whistle than JB did. I actually don't usually mind JB, BT is the true shocker, but god what a emotionless effort to give such an emotional moment for Fagan and the Brisbane team and i don't even support them.

I wish my late father was here to have seen this magnificent performance. He loved his Aussie rules and the Brisbane Lions in his adopted state.
Kudos to the Lions, at some stage early on in the season I wasn’t sure that the lions would make the finals let alone the big dance. But they were able to bounce back magnificently in the 2nd half of the season and were able to become just the 2nd team since 2000 to win the premiership after finishing in the bottom half of the 8.

60 point margin is so generous to the Swans. 4 late junk time goals, a 50m gift from the umps and Brisbane inaccuracy. The score should have been more like 150-35 based on how they played.
Sydney has no foward line besides papley. if their star mids are being matched or outplayed they have 0 avenue to score. and no defense can withstand the amount of pressure brisbane was putting up.

The statement at the end??!! Lions catch “lightning in a bottle” . Well … no … not really. In fact it was more like a 10 year rebuild before making the finals , then a sustained run of regular season success with 3 or 4 , top 4 finishes in a row only to be bundled out in straight sets or falling a game short until finally the years of consistency and the experience get them to a GF but then they have to wonder how many times do they have to step up a level before they’re ready to win the whole bloody thing.??!! Well they got their answer with the final boss level last week against Geelong and were rewarded with a GF that was basically just a 4 quarter victory lap and a full circle tears to glory moment for the club

Ever since that quarter time break Brisbane looked dominant throughout all aspects of the game, which ultimately led their team to a 60-point victory. Ever since that 2-5 start and 13th position on the ladder they've looked unstoppable and proved everyone wrong to win their 4th flag. Congrats Brisbane well deserved and congrats to their fans for waiting so long during their domination in recent times. 👏💙🧡💛💙🧡💛🦁

@@Coopy4496 Collingwood might have lost 8 grand finals in a row in 1960,1964,1966,1970,1977,1979,1980,1981. However, they only lost by more than 10 goals just once in 1980 against Richmond. With Sydney though, they have already lost by 10 goals or more 3 times in their last 4 consecutive grand final losses.

Kai dominated early whereas Ashcroft dominated all game. The 4 players that had the best chance were Ashcroft, Neale, Lohmann and Ah Chee.
As a Swans supporter, congrats to the Lions for winning the flag. They played almost perfect and I hope you enjoy this year’s premiership as much as you can.
But in regard to how we played, it was an absolute disgrace. We bottled it yet again and it’s just frustrating to see this after the amazing season that we had. Especially with seeing our Midfield and Forward line get exposed. We really deserve better after the beltings that we’ve endured in three of our past four grand final losses.
Even with how I’m gutted and angry I am, I’m still proud of this season, but I really hope that the Swans never play like this in a Grand Final ever again. Here’s hoping that better days are ahead and I look forward to the day where we break our premiership drought with all of the composure in the world to do it. When we touch the trophy second, then I’ll certainly know that’ll be our day. Here’s hoping that 2025 will be our year ❤️🤍

Everyone talking about how bad Sydney were but it’s Brisbane that made them look bad. Incredible performance and everything just clicked for the Lions. The whole team did an incredible job. Would have been a tough job picking the Norm Smith medallist.
Just a reminder that Sydney were premiership faves even before the finals started and everyone likely had already tipped them to take the flag. Now you wanna hear something very ironic (and quite hilarious)? Brisbane won from being 5th on the ladder, the last time a team won the flag from outside the top 4 was in 2016 when the Bulldogs won it from being 7th on the ladder. Anyone remember who they beat for their flag?
