    Great video dude! Also, I've worked for a lot of RUclips channels and one of the things I always tell my clients is to put a CTA to another video at the end to increase the session time, you did it perfectly (watched that video too haha). Keep up the hard work, I'm your 670th subscriber!

    Very true. Also, most webflow developers should learn basic seo. Any webdeveloper for that matter. It's a shame how many bad websites there are out there, and this will bite back to you with reviews. Learn basics like KWR.

    I’m coming to you, to tell that thanks to your advices and tutorials, I have more confident in my potential to make a website.
    Thank you so much for all you’ve done for us.
    Also, I will soon probably have my first client in order to make his website.
    I have no problem to make the design and the website itself, but the client is asking for a food ordering possibility on his site.
    How could I do that ordering system in webflow please, it is very urgent ?
    Is there a plugin or something else to help to achieve that ?
    Thank you for your help in advance.
    Best regards

      Great to hear you have a client lined up. Food ordering with WF can surely be done but not sure if it’s the most optimal platform to build it - really depends on the functionality. Do you need user registration, payment process etc.? Then webflow could be too limited. Let me know how it goes!
      Best, Rafael

      In that case, what software will you advice to achieve that please ?
      ( if possible, not wordpress... just if possible)
      I also heard that squarespace could do that. What do you think about ?

      If you already have a great understanding of code then you can probably learn Webflow a lot quicker. If you don’t mind focussing more on the visual end of a website I’d say go for it.
      Try the Webflow 101 videos to see if it’s for you :)

    Great explanation Rafael, I have a question though. If I want to become a specialist but I do not know which of the one thing I am good at or I want to work on. How do I become a specialist? Guess I have to be generalist first to see what I enjoy and am good at, don't you think?

    • @rafaelrabl
      @rafaelrabl  2 месяца назад

      Yes, totally. Back when I was in design school we had 20+ (!) different design subjects (e.g. poster design, logo design, web design).
      At the end of the program i rated each subject based on how much i liked it, how much demand there was for it and how much I could make. The top 3 of the list I focussed on the most from there on.
      One of them was web design - which then became my main focus :)
      Try out many things first >> then niche down and become a specialist

    5:53 - Hi Rafael, but I read on Webflow Expert requirements and it says that we need to have minimum 3 client-based projects tho? Do you think non client-based projects on our Portfolio won't be rejected?

    • @rafaelrabl
      @rafaelrabl  Месяц назад

      Yes, if you eventually want to apply for the Expert program you need 3 client projects. But to start out and find your first clients personal projects work great!

    • @shinobi_coder88
      @shinobi_coder88 Месяц назад

      @@rafaelrabl Oh I see, thanks for your helpful reply. And one more curiosity about client projects, it says that we shouldn't use templates to build our client projects, but can they tell if our project is built using a template if we've already fully customized it?

  • @filetmignon9978
    @filetmignon9978 4 месяца назад +1

    How would I create a personal project if I'm not a designer though?

    • @rafaelrabl
      @rafaelrabl  4 месяца назад +2

      Great question! Even if you’re not a designer, you can still create a personal project.
      Start and define a purpose and goal of your project. Next, gather inspiration from websites you like or sites like Pinterest. You can use webflow templates as a starting point-they’re highly customizable and they even have free ones.
      Focus mainly on what you want to achieve with your project. There are so many of resources online like Webflow Universtiy, including tutorials and communities, to guide you along the way. Hope this helps :)

    Should a beginner use framer or webflow for freelancing? Which one should I choose

    • @Kebbab.213
      @Kebbab.213 4 месяца назад +2

      Webflow has way more appiications and more niching possibilities. Overall, Webflow offers more

    • @filetmignon9978
      @filetmignon9978 4 месяца назад +2

      webflow is targeted towards developers, framer toward designers because framer works similar to Figma in terms of usability. So it depends on what you're more familiar and comfortable with. They do have differences in features, so make sure to look those up too

    • @rafaelrabl
      @rafaelrabl  4 месяца назад +4

      Great question. As others have said Framer is more geared towards designers (UI even looks similar to Figma) but still very limited compared to Webflow.
      Ultimately I would go with Webflow for now, because you have so much more possibilities.
      PS: A Webflow vs Framer video is already planned!
