Yeeeeeah so : Gege doesn't have wife. Charles's ability was used by yuta later on, and he was an exemple of a sorcerer from a different country which was cool. I forgot to fact check the wife thing. With the Charles ability, it doesn’t technically count as his character doing anything. He was still mostly a throwaway at the end, since he was just watching the fight from his phone. Also, I talked the health problems, but I forgot to mention the surgery. My fault

17:15 First off, great video. But this statement is incorrect, Charles' cursed technique is used by Yuta during the fight against Sukuna to have a little future sight. It is relatively negligible, but considering that Yuta still ended up being out of commission for a hot second during the battle, the argument that Charles' ability being present is what allowed Yuta to remain in the battle for as long as he did. The total sum point that you make about Charles still remains intact though
I mean this does bring in the arguement of how much pay off makes Charles’ character worth it. Personally I’m 100% fine with background/tertiary characters, I don’t need everyone to have a huge role. But many would argue that then the inclusion of him is pointless filler and Hikari could have just started the fight against Kashimo instead. I think it’s a really cool topic to explore because there is so much nuance to it. If Charles got the most screen time during the Sukuna fight people would be angry as such a minor character doesn’t deserve that, so where is the balance? Is it more interesting that certain characters choose not to fight or were told they were too weak to join or is that just a convient way of writing out characters? Like I think Noritoshi leaving is far more interesting than him showing up and doing 1 attack and getting knocked out of the fight. All this to say, I do somewhat understand as a Hikari fan I wanted to explore his character/growth/powers more and feel dissapointed that we skipped his fight. I think Hikari was set up to do more than Charles so it’s more understandable, but it’s a very interesting deep dive

Just wish we got to see what the trios next adventure is but im glad he gets to move on and cant wait to see what they cook up next.
The problem is JJK's ending is so conflicting. If you look at the theme and narrative that gege was implanting in the series, it fits but some parts just don't, and the execution and abruptness of it was jarring as well. It's kinda like in the first ace attorney game where they made the best story/mystery in the entire franchise and then gave it the most stretched out, tedious, and mind breaking chapters I've ever seen. (Rise from the ashes)
My theory is that Gege wanted to go the darkish ending but was pushed by editors to go the happy ending, too many things pivot last second for it to make sense that 1 person thought of both. Yuji saying goodbye to Megumi only for 2 chapters later him be saved. Yuta being stuck in Gojo’s body only for a timeskip and he’s back to normal just fine. Nobara being shown by the manga with the dead characters only to show up next chapter. Higaruma. It’s not that dark = better, it’s more that pivoting too quickly is normally bad. Yuta now loses all consequences for the body hop (and for his mindset being so dark). He gets to sacrifice everything and reach his most desperate, only to just be fine. Same with Nobara/Megumi, the acceptance of their death and that Yuji can find happiness within himself and still love life is extremely important. Them coming back/being fine robs his character of that growth. It would be like bowling with bumpers, not hitting the bumpers with the ball proving you don’t need them, but still keeping them up.
@ Kinda hard to tell on if they make it more or less dark in general, but we know that editors have huge sway. Biggest example probably is Sasuke from Naruto being an editor decision

18:33 I really hate this take. I don’t think there is an example of gege ‘writing himself into a corner’ because domains are to strong. The disaster curses knew that gojos domain was an instant win button, that’s what made their strategising around it so interesting. Also anti domain techniques almost always fail and get the user killed in the end anyway, so I also don’t get the argument that gege had to nerf domains or ‘go wider instead of deeper’ via these weak ass techniques
Anti domain techniques getting their user killed literally argues my own point for me. Domain expansions are too powerful. Gino’s fight with the disaster curses is excellently written, yes, but most other instances of domains are simply dick measuring contests where whoever is stronger wins, where strategy is often thrown out the window because of the sure hit effect. Counter examples are few and far between.

Jam in Strive! I like your breakdown of the plight Akutami had to go through making the series. Though I had a pretty negative view of the ending and, retroactively, the story as a whole, this video made me think on the situation a bit more and give it a bit more grace. I was already sympathetic to Akutami as a mangaka, so I never was insanely mad at it, but now I have a slightly more favorable view of the whole thing. Good video
I gave my reasons why the ending failed in the video, literally explaining the loose ends and the deus ex machina revivals of Nobara and Higuruma. Meanwhile, you have given absolutely nothing. Actually, it’s worse than nothing. You write with a lot of confidence for someone who likely failed their literary analysis class. Or maybe you haven’t taken one of those because you sound like a five-year-old who just learned to read their first picture book. Wait, no, that would be an insult to the intelligence of a five-year-old.
This was a phenomenal video. I agree that Gojo always had to die, my problem with it is how "nuh uh he dies cuz I say he does" instead actually being well written, and also how out of left field Gojo comes back suddenly he's just back, supposedly way stronger cuz he hyperbolic time chambered the shit out of himself And the fight is just Sukuna proving he's not actually a threat cuz he needed mommy and daddy to carry him the whole fight, it's insulting to the main villain, it's insulting to Gojo, and it's insulting to us as fans who have been hyped for these characters to have a proper rematch. And to end it with off screening Gojo, and giving some deus ex machina ass explanation was just pathetic. Gojo and Sukuna both deserved better. And then to go into a year long fight against sukuna as a final arc just feels so rushed, incomplete, and odd. As a fellow bleach fan I figured Gege would take all our criticisms as a fandom and fix them with JJK but instead he just copy pasted all its worst attributes and fell short of bleach's greatness.
Great vid. I honestly think if there was at least an extended chapter with Higuruma as the MC almost like a JJK0, dealing with positive energy, rct and finally include nature spirits to flesh out Yuki's mission to move away from curses, as well as actually be able to further develop the world and aftermath of the culling games' participants, it would help the overall series sit better. Maybe since Tengen's barrier is to fail, it would help the world building a but more than sonehow Japan having a monopoly on cursed energy, with more regions thwn just Africa showing their own cultural versions of cursed and positive energy. It is too bad that it was forced through the weekly jump cog, as proper time to develop this kind of story, allowing the pieces to come together would have helped the overall theme get through better when looking at the problems with society. I did wonder if Sukuna's choice to leave with Urame was supposed to be a potential reference to an almost twisted wakashu style relationship, which could answer a lot of questions and really add to how vile Sukuna really was. I definitely was one of the readers who actually was fine with how it ended, preferring that the majority of the students survive and have a bright future ahead, letting many of the older generation die with many of the negative cultural trends like the simpke domain life siphoning curse die with them... just wish that Mei Mei would die and Yuji step in as a proper healthy older sibling like role for Ui Ui since they seem to get along well in panels they are shown together.
@Rawly445 It was sad really, my family comes from an indigenous cultural practice that made me excited to see the religious concepts brought to life with the power system and wanted to see something similar to Hunter x Hunter's power system progression alongside the story, which unfortunately seems unlikely to happen now. But it is nice that we have some contect clues when looking at traditions throughout the world that can fill in the blanks so JJK doesn't end up falling too flat for fans who care to explore those areas, chants for example being a godsend even if we only really saw it at the end
21:56 i saw one manga panel where nobara and maki had their shibya aftermatch injuries. the eyepatch and burn scars. but it quickly vanished. thats how i knew nobara was alive till the reveal
I remember initially being upset at the twist of ya know chapter 236 but after listening to alot of analysis on it I realized Gege made the right choice with how to keep the stakes there and took a risky choice, but in general Gege did his best with the story and I am glad for the ride he gave us. He's not a terrible writer and made mistakes which was expected but I'm gonna miss the road we came with these characters. Hope he succeeds with more of his future works. ❤️
I could go on a rant about Gojo's death wasn't inevitable (unless you mean as a mentor then yeah maybe) cause it was set up differently but instead I'll just say that as someone who is in his final week of getting a math degree Gege's explanations trying to use math (even after his coworker corrected him) were physically painful. Idk I just had to say that somewhere I guess.
Sukuna didn't kill Gojo plot did bro and Nobara was hinted by Megumi when he didn't confirm it when asked by Yuji and the plan was to not tell Yuji because sukuna will know what he knows which was confirmed in the story by Todo bruh. Geto knew where curse spirits came from it's the conversation that made him realize what he should do. The ending wasn't a Disney ending cause he already stated wayy before the ending 1 main character would die or all except 1 and he chose to kill one which is Gojo.
Plot totally killed gojo. I’m really trying to defend how it happened, only that it had to happen somehow, and it wasn’t really handled well. As for nobara, making a character’s death unconfirmed is not the same as foreshadowing. Without proper set up, any sudden character appearance becomes a deus ex machina. Also, how exactly is the ending not a Disney ending? Do you really think it’s good? If so, please explain.
17:38 I was almost positive this was because of someone’s cursed technique. Sure it may have been an excuse to b lazy but I feel like it wasn’t uhh…I forgot the word but uk wha I mean -_-
i usually dont fw shonen at all... AT ALL but jjk was hitting every mark for me I never been this invested in a world and wanting to know more abt it since like berserk
I've watched 400+ animes (seasons, really), and for some reason, despite everyone loving JJK and me liking shonen the most, this series felt very bland, not even on the action episodes I felt the need to keep watching.
Mha and DS endings werent even bad. They were just endings. Sure they leave some info unclosed BUT they atleast gave us a closure. Those endings are between 4 and 7 out of 10 (i'd give a 5 for DS and 7 for MHA) Jjk was an actual example of bad ending. But... AoT was the fucking worst. 1-2/10
And that’s why I hate how they killed Sukuna, since the beginning it was focused on individual power and what makes you stronger. Yes team work in necessary but it’s not the answer. I was interested with this concept, because ♾️ other mangas focused on the same thing “ team work-power in numbers etc” JJk was different and I liked like that. In the end whatever
To be honest, if the reason Disney Kaisen ending is because of the backlash Gojo's death received were to be real, then it just shows that Gege misinterpreted the backlash imo. At least for me, I didn't like the fact that the killer hit happened off-screen and we get absolutely zero info on what happened with Gojo's body (or if there was a funeral to begin with). Like, the fight was pure hype. But it suddenly ends off-screen with Gojo cut in half after the last chapter built up his big brain strategy and we don't even get the cordiality of seeing it fail? I mean, by that point we were already used and memeing Fraudkuna, so what gives? I'd rather believe Disney Kaisen ending is due to the manga being cancelled in secret and Gege having to rush it while being utterly unable to tie any of the left over plots left behind by the series (like how the world and especially Japan would respond to Jujutsu Energy becoming public knowledge with Japan being basically the only country with Jujutsu Sorcerers).
Jjk I never understood the hype, but I wanted to make a RUclips video (not an ad or anything) about how it felt like they didn’t wanna work on Jjk anymore

No, Gege killed off Gojo because he was scared that Gojo would materialize and take his wife...😭
I’m sure akutami takes a whole lot of influence from nearly every shonen, though in interviews, he doesn’t explicitly say hxh (at least not in the ones I’ve seen so far)
@Rawly445 yeah thats fair enough, I havnt made an effort to see any of his personal statements on the matter but I just assumed that it would've been a big influence, as I've only just recently got into hxh I noticed a lot of similarities.

Good video
Glad you enjoyed
This truly was our jujutsu kaisen
For real
I subbed because of this video so your in debt, because you now owe me a hug
I was not expecting that surprise guilty gear reference at the end
Oh another criticism on jjk's ending which is wrapped up in "Disney Kaisen" lol
Defend the ending. I’ll wait
@Rawly445 With this kind of criticism I don't need to do that.
Ok bro. Great argument. It’s almost as existent as the size of your…you know ;)
@@Rawly445 i argued the ending as much as you did in a half hour video except I used half sentence. Bro.
Found your channel through your Fujimoto Effect vid (which was great) looking forward to this!
You deserve a lot more subscribers and likes dude this is an amazing video
The number of things you got wrong is CRAZY but good video tho.
Bro, people keep saying I got things wrong. What did I get wrong??
@Rawly445 I already told you. You replied 14 hours ago !
Ok hold up. The most important thing is that I gotta I find a source about whether or not akutami has a wife. I couldn’t find any.
Gojos fate was sealed when Geges wife said she’d leave him for gojo
This was a phenomenal video.
I agree that Gojo always had to die, my problem with it is how "nuh uh he dies cuz I say he does" instead actually being well written, and also how out of left field Gojo comes back suddenly he's just back, supposedly way stronger cuz he hyperbolic time chambered the shit out of himself
And the fight is just Sukuna proving he's not actually a threat cuz he needed mommy and daddy to carry him the whole fight, it's insulting to the main villain, it's insulting to Gojo, and it's insulting to us as fans who have been hyped for these characters to have a proper rematch.
Glad you enjoyed. This was truly our jujutsu kaisen
Yeah, there was a lot of stuff I would have like to see expanded
What panel is that
I remember initially being upset at the twist of ya know chapter 236 but after listening to alot of analysis on it I realized Gege made the right choice with how to keep the stakes there and took a risky choice, but in general Gege did his best with the story and I am glad for the ride he gave us.
He's not a terrible writer and made mistakes which was expected but I'm gonna miss the road we came with these characters.
Hope he succeeds with more of his future works. ❤️
Good was quoting a mythical version of Buddha with the "Honored One" thing.
at 0:47, what anime is DS ?
Demon slayer
I could go on a rant about Gojo's death wasn't inevitable (unless you mean as a mentor then yeah maybe) cause it was set up differently but instead I'll just say that as someone who is in his final week of getting a math degree Gege's explanations trying to use math (even after his coworker corrected him) were physically painful. Idk I just had to say that somewhere I guess.
I just mean it's inevitable from a storytelling standpoint. As for the math, it's definitely wacky.
If so, please explain.
this is really cool
Glad you enjoyed
I couldn’t pay attention to what you were saying because I was too busy jamming out to Rosemary Fairweather. Excellent 10 out of 10 music choice.
Ah, a fellow rosemary fairweather enjoyer. She was my #4 artist on my Spotify wrapped
17:38 I was almost positive this was because of someone’s cursed technique. Sure it may have been an excuse to b lazy but I feel like it wasn’t uhh…I forgot the word but uk wha I mean -_-

Crazy bro 😊❤
13:48 why spread misinformation
Where can I find a credible source for whether or not he has a wife. I couldn’t find any
@@Rawly445 If you can't find a credible source for something just don't say It.
i usually dont fw shonen at all... AT ALL but jjk was hitting every mark for me I never been this invested in a world and wanting to know more abt it since like berserk

Akautami was also inspired by yu yu haukasho and hunterxhunter
make a documentary for the author Koyoharu Gotouge
can you do one of takeru hokazono the author of kagurabachi
They’re still very early into their career, so I’ll give it some time to see how kagurabachi fares whenever it’s adapted
nah id subscribe
Deadass, great vid title
I've watched 400+ animes (seasons, really), and for some reason, despite everyone loving JJK and me liking shonen the most, this series felt very bland, not even on the action episodes I felt the need to keep watching.
No wonder Gege off-screened Gojo.
You wanted to see some gore?
Mha and DS endings werent even bad. They were just endings.
Sure they leave some info unclosed BUT they atleast gave us a closure. Those endings are between 4 and 7 out of 10 (i'd give a 5 for DS and 7 for MHA)
Jjk was an actual example of bad ending. But... AoT was the fucking worst. 1-2/10
0:06 ZAMNNNNNNNNNNNN 👅👅👅👅👅👅😛😛😛😛😛.
“Basically a demo for yuji-“
We not gonna talk about the Girl called Hanami? No? Okay.
Can you stop cooking so hard man like i’m going on fire
OH MY GOD
My goat
Clout chaser video. Using fake news for validate his vision of an author.
Why anime youtube fall this down ? 🤦♂️
What’s the fake news bro
@@Rawly445 WE'VE TOLD YOU ALREADY.
Jjk I never understood the hype, but I wanted to make a RUclips video (not an ad or anything) about how it felt like they didn’t wanna work on Jjk anymore
No, Gege killed off Gojo because he was scared that Gojo would materialize and take his wife...😭
Gege was never confirmed to be in a relationship, the author commentary was fake, please don't spread misinformation.
Nahh that can't be right, hxh seems to have a lot of influence on jjk, I mean look how similar some of the characters are and the power system
